I'm not sure if it was posted yet, but I just read that Martin is nominated for the Walter Peyton Man of the Year.

I think he was simply cause this was his last year.

Most contracts with voids are set to terminate before the start of the season. His officially voids 3-5 days after the start of the season.
OTC has it where the team can make him a June 1st cap cut to spread out dead cap over two years.

Noticed Big Zack physically breaking down since 3 - 4 years ago. Putting him on season-ending IR is the right thing to do, especially since he will now need surgery to fix his ankle. I won't be surprised if Zack Martin calls it a career at the end of this season. Or, he could surprise everyone and sign a much cheaper 2 year extension where he agrees to be a part-time player and part-time Oline coach to help both Brock Hoffman and TJ Bass become solid starting O-Guards.
