Same here. What they lack in athleticism, Bass and Hoffman make up for with cohesion.I think Hunter is the only legit blue chip prospect in the whole class then you’ve probably got 12-15 dudes with legit 1st round grades.
Give me one of those guys that isn’t Jeanty and I’m probably good. I’m also starting to shy away from OL in the 1st considering how well Hoffman and Bass have looked.
Yea I’d be open to Starks bc he can do it all.Same here. What they lack in athleticism, Bass and Hoffman make up for with cohesion.
We should look to improve at DL or WR in 1, with exceptions being an elite prospect at S or LB.
As we have said, unless a blinking light falls in their laps, not the year to take a high offensive lineman.I think Hunter is the only legit blue chip prospect in the whole class then you’ve probably got 12-15 dudes with legit 1st round grades.

What are your thoughts if Overshown is out for the entire 2025 season? We really just have Marist under contract. This position might become a day 2 priority.Yea I’d be open to Starks bc he can do it all.
I don’t think there’s a top 15 LBr in the class. See Walker as a pass rusher. The kid from Bama is a stud MLB but top 15 is too early.
We need to see if we can bring Kendricks or someone similar over in FA and draft another player to compete. What are your thoughts if Overshown is out for the entire 2025 season? We really just have Marist under contract. This position might become a day 2 priority.
We are going to need to add two starting caliber linebackers. We need to see if we can bring Kendricks or someone similar over in FA and draft another player to compete.
It’s not a good LBr class. I think Campbell is clear cut LB1 and is a top 32 player but after him it falls off a cliff and I probably wouldn’t take any of these dudes until the 3rd / 4th.
Just a question? If you brought in Vrabel as HC and Salah as DC..........how many LB's are you going to need?We are going to need to add two starting caliber linebackers.
Saleh runs a 4-3 Front, all we really have is an unproven Marist and Clark under contract, the rest are more special teamers. Could always move Parsons to off the ball, but still will need multiple linebackers for the group.Just a question? Fingers crossed Marist shows us something down the stretch…didn’t like the pick but would love to be wrong. We are going to need to add two starting caliber linebackers.
I agree that multiple LB's are needed, just trying to figure out what type of LB's.Saleh runs a 4-3 Front, all we really have is an unproven Marist and Clark under contract, the rest are more special teamers. Teams play nickel package most of the time in which you have 2 linebackers on the field. On the early downs, you will see an additional linebacker on the field, where he is replaced by defensive back in the nickel. Going to need 3 starters and 1 backup as injuries occur often at this position.I agree that multiple LB's are needed, just trying to figure out what type of LB's.
I think Saleh defense would better utilize the Safeties, Corners, and Al Harris for that matter that are all presently on the team. Cover 3 with a safety in "zone and run" help would make Dono relevant again.
Not that Vrabel would bring in Saleh, but assuming this happened and Dallas could draft BPA (Graham or Harmon or Nolen) in 1 and get (Grant or Walker) in 2 --- how many more LB's would have to be picked up and would you want one legit MIKE -3rd, with Marist at Sam and Clark at Will -- then pick up extra 2 LB's in the 4 pick 5th?
I would of taken a RB, but his play down the stretch could determine the need at the position.Fingers crossed Marist shows us something down the stretch…didn’t like the pick but would love to be wrong.
Yeah or Payton Wilson who went to the Steelers. It'll be interesting to watch he and Liafau's careers.I would of taken a RB, but his play down the stretch could determine the need at the position.
I loved Wilson myself, but he was very risky with all those surgeries.Yeah or Payton Wilson who went to the Steelers. It'll be interesting to watch he and Liafau's careers.
As a whole, the NFL only ran base about 20% of the time last season. It's basically a short-yardage sub package at this point.Teams play nickel package most of the time in which you have 2 linebackers on the field. Still going to need two more quality linebackers. Figure we just have Marist/Clark under contract. Clark hasn't shown he is a quality starter and Marist has just played limited snaps. You add a starting Mike, Marist as the Will and upgrade depth behind them.As a whole, the NFL only ran base about 20% of the time last season. Below is a pretty cool chart.
FWIW, "penny" is what these guys are calling nickel with 1 LB and 1 extra safety, like what Dan Quinn ran with Jayron Kearse.
