While it is something that we can hope will send a message to Jerry, the reality is that if the Cowboys do better next season they will once again be highly wanted by everyone then.

The Cowboys lost their franchise quarterback for the season and were 3-7 at one point, so it was no surprise networks wanted to feature more important games.

They were flexed this week because this time of year networks want playoff contenders, not teams who have been eliminated, especially one playing a team that beat them badly earlier in the season.

The Dallas Cowboys have been very bad this season. While the Cowboys have turned things around as of late with four wins in their last five contests, the ultimate reality is that the 2024 season was a terrible one for them. Ending (seemingly) on a high is nice, but the lowest point was among the most treacherous ever experienced in franchise history.

Among the most treacherous ever in franchise history? Not even in the top 10 ‘most treacherous’ seasons.

i think the fact that its backup vs backup is why this game got flexed.

The game had to be flexed long before (around 12-14 days before game day) they knew Hurts would be out because of the NFL agreement they have since a lot of people going to the game would need to know this well ahead of time in order to make travel adjustments if necessary.

This team needs 2 things. One of course, is a quarterback. At this point I don't think anybody can argue that we are not in trouble at that position.

The second is coaching, and I mean, coaching at every level.
Repetitive execution in practice, discipline, and more than anything, accountability.

Truer words never spoken.

I get it. I remember when Crimson and Clover was the #1 song in the country for a million weeks in a row. The radio stations played the song over and over and even invented the "double play" where they would play a song back to back just to play C & C a second time it was so popular. Then people got sick of it.

But at the same time, the Cowboys are coming off 3 consecutive 12-5 seasons, 2 division titles and 3 playoff appearances. They are having an off year. It happens.

It's funny, the 49ers are struggling too. They have a worse record than Dallas. I don't hear the same kind of nonsense about them we hear about Dallas. I would argue the 49ers in some ways are a bigger mess than Dallas.

Yet, the same network decided to make their game a nationally televised game only two markets not showing the game) instead of spreading the other games over more markets. Given the season they had justifies the flexing of this game..but they are still a bigger draw as a losing team vs majority of other teams.

Don't worry, 2025, Dallas will still be on 3 SNF games, a MNF game, T-Day game, and a TNF game. Plus what would seem to be key match ups on the Sunday afternoon late national game.
Look for them to possibly one of the Christmas Day games.

...lol..of course. No playoffs, nothing to talk about. If it was other way around. Dallas would be primetime.
