This is setting up to be the same exact scenario as it was with the Clapping Carrot....let the final game end and then SAY NOTHING....just let days go by, and let fans draw their own conclusions. If you remember correctly, Booger never had even ONE press conference after he simply let the Clapping Carrot's contract lapse...to this date, he has not fielded even ONE question to do with on the Clapping Carrot's tenure...any regrets...or why he let things drag on for 9+ agonizing year. Booger is a coward, and he is doing the same damn thing currently with Corky...if he would have fired him last year, there would have been a press conference....but let his contract lapse this year, and he doesn't need to do a thing....simply hide out like he did five (5) years ago and play stupid. This S is getting very old...it blows my mind how people still support this guy with merch and ticket sales.

its brilliant marketing if you really want to know....keep quiet. let the media frenzy and speculation keep the cowboys in the news. throw out nuggets here and there to fuel the fires.

then pass on the first wave of coaches (too expensive). pass on second wave....too expensive....then throw out a name or start speculation just to see the fanbase reaction.....

go with someone who will interest most of the fans and give some hope and generate interest. and regurjagate the same stuff you say every year. essentially empty words.

My guess is Jerry has already made up his mind. But Jerry being Jerry, he's going to wait until he can make a headline stealing announcement like he did with Dak. Dak's deal was probably done months before, but Jerry wanted a splash announcement, so he waited. I expect him to wait until super bowl week or even right before the game to get the Cowboys in the news. Not that will anyone listen or care, but that is Jerry's way of trying to keep the spotlight on him rather than 2 teams about to play in a game that he hasn't qualified to play in for 30 years.

All this talk about how the season needs to play out before a decision is made is ridiculous.

McCarthy has been here since 2020. This front office should know all they need to know about him. And the decision about his future should not be about how this season turns out. It needs to be made based on McCarthy's entire five year tenure.

Just more proof how out of the loop the Jones boys are.

Jerry couldn't fire him last year bro, he already paid him and he wasn't about to waste 4 million.

.difference here, MM has put Dallas in post season column for almost 4 yrs straight.
Clapping carrot gave us almost 500 ball for 6 of those 9 yrs.
Not saying Mike is a superb coach, but it's a nice feeling knowing you're going to the postseason for another shot at the title.
 
Jerry moved on from Mcarthy after the Green Bay loss. There is no way he can get that game off his resume and get an extension.

Jerry is definitely setting this up for a Jason Witten hiring around Super bowl week.
