SNF: Vikings at Lions

You knew it wasn’t going to go well for the vikes, that many trips in red zone and no TD’s and Sam looking like the old Sam. Vikes looked like the boys in the red zone and that is not a compliment.

Great coaching and a locker room full of guys that buy into what the coaches are pushing.

Despite all the injuries, this team seems better now than when they blasted Dallas in October
Pfffff.....Not hard when the DBs are gonna hold every single snap....forcing the refs to make a call. League doesn't want the refs to dictate outcomes so they let the blatantly obvious slide. Can't call a penalty on every play...

The score looked worse for the Vikings than it actually was. They were just off tonight in the red zone. If they get those scores, I think the momentum changes.

They can clean that up before they meet the Lions. This was also a really rare performance by the Lions, I don't think they'll repeat that against anyone else.

Will go ahead and say it.....think your gonna see a rematch. Vikings will make adjustments....KOC is the best coach in the league....and it's not even close.

Goff plays well then they will be in the SB.
laughing at some of the fanfiction about the vikings

Did Sam Darnold get exposed . Is he going to go back to Mr NY Jet in the playoffs . Going to LA and up against McVay will be interesting .

14-3 and having to go on the road .

Lions had a weird night of getting a lot of pressure and his receivers forgot their hands in the redzone.

Both things were uncharacteristic for both teams. That Lions D is not good and I doubt they sustain that type of performance in the playoffs or against the Vikings again.

Listened to most of the game on the radio they were pretty critical of Darnold , missing open receivers plus passes that should have been intercepted . I know one thing when coaches continually throw FG’s in the garbage then don’t score TD’s it’s a huge momentum swing .

That Vikings kick out of bounds set up the Lions for a FG before half made it 10-6 huge swing .

If Jeffereson and Addison get those two TDs early it would have been a different game. But the issue with Darnold is that he had people in his face all night which was making him rush his throws.

I think Lions did some things on defense, play design wise, they didn't use much this year. I just don't think it will hold up in playoffs, they are too banged up on defense.

That week off helps plus screaming home fans

How is he the best coach in the league by far? He isn't even the best coach in his own division.

Looks like the Sam Darnold Cinderella Run is coming to an end and it could be over in another week. The Vikings will have an easy decision to make regarding his future

Yep. Darnold has a chance to redeem himself next week but yesterday's loss was bad. That was for the #1 overall seed and would have completely changed the landscape of the playoffs. Defense gave Minnesota 2 picks and they did zero with them. 0/4 in then redzone. Darnold looked like the old Darnold that had him bouncing around the league.

If he loses 1st round, the flameout will lose him a ton of money and everything he did in the first 16 games will be ignored. Fair or not, that's reality.
