One of the few outsiders I’ve seen force Jerry to stop and listen.

He’s come in here and kick you right in the *** with a daily dose of foul mouthedness.
The threat of benchings and real accountability.

He got to two AFC title games with butt fumbling mark Sanchez - and he had Pittsburgh beaten throughout the 2nd half .

He can coach .

He’s the elixir to our softness - the Cowboys are soft - the fans are soft - the reporters are soft - the media are soft - rowdy is soft.

Time to get ugly

Get me Rex before the NYJ do.

End thread. You have already said enough to explain why hiring Rex Ryan as head coach will not happen in Dallas.

I agree that his style is kinda what we need. This team is so soft and gutless. With that said, Rex is such a buffoon. A windbag just like his father. So my vote would be no, but the original poster has the right idea of the style we need.

And hire his brother as DC. This is a solid plan. Surprised nobody has tried it.
Is it really a surprise? :) I would be surprised if those two hot heads would not end up fighting each other working on the same staff.

Rex Ryan said he turned down the DC job with the Cowboys because of money. McCarthy is likely coming back.

why? he failed as a head coach. then as coordinator and now lots of years removed from coaching.

then again, he is a TV personality that gets media attention and right up Jerry's alley.

The bright sun shining through the stadium windows and reflecting off Rex's teeth would probably constitute a weapon of mass destruction. You could incinerate China if he stood on the 25 yard line in the second quarter of a late window game.
:lmao2:

I'd feel more positive if JJ truly respected Aikman enough to hire him as a GM vs any coach at this point. He won't but I remember hearing that interview about how he respects Aikman but not enough to take any advice... from anyone.

A TV coach for a media obsessed owner.
By god, it could happen lol

I would rather have Kubiak or Johnson
Neither one would even waste a plane trip to meet the Jones'. Jerry and Stephen have a criteria that cripples our search for a good coach. Realistically, we'll get a low paid first time nobody, a desperate retread looking for any kind of pay day or a McCarthy rehire.

If we want to go that route lets really shake things up and hire Rob Ryan as HC....Its worth it to me just for the press conferences.
