I just can't see how they aren't a package deal.
I'm not saying I would - but how far do you have to move up and what would the deal look like?

These teams all need QBs ahead of us - Sanders and Ward are really the only two considered 1st rounders, unless Milroe explodes at the combine.

Titans - might pass and give Levis one more year
Browns - I bet they sign Winston to a short term deal and go Carter/Hunter - whoever is there. QB class next year is better
Giants - Ward would likely be their pick out of the two
Raiders - this is probably floor of where you'd need to get
Jets - they've been burnt taking 1st round QBs

Think at min you have to get ahead of Raiders
Would probably take 12, 76 and 1st next year

Once again, not saying I would...just running the what ifs

If that scenario took place, you aren't going to keep Dak. You would move up by trading Dak to one of those needy QB teams.

That trade is near impossible with the cap hits.
I'm not sure if there can be some type of structure change with Dak’s approval

We’d likely have to eat some of Daks contract and move up to #1…for a downgrade.

Diamond hard pass for me.
it's not a downgrade - if anything you are getting younger at the position with a higher ceiling

what's happening right now? you paid the guy and he's showing his ceiling was in the past, and he is declining as an athlete

call me a hater but Dak is slow as Molasses and 8/9 QB's in the playoffs are MOBILE quarterbacks

Trading for Shedduer while still under the full weight of Daks contract is some kind of stupid. Dieons kid is a project not a Manning, and how is he going to get any reps behind our 60M QB who loves to finish games and pad his stats? We are talking no opportunity to develop in Dallas.

Even if Shedduer fell to 12, it doesn't help him or the Dallas Cowboys. That picks needs to be a starting WR or DE or LB or CB. The only chance for Dieon and his kid to roam the Cowboys sideline together is for Jerry to con to some team into taking Dak off our hands. I don't think Jerry is capable of pulling it off and I know Dak has a no-trade clause.

After we sign Micah, the Cowboys are going to be the most top heavy team in the league. Those draft picks are critical if we have any hope of success in the next 4 years. We can't trade them away for a back-up QB.

Whether or not you like Dak over the course of his career he’s basically been a top 10 ish QB lock. He literally was an all pro his last full season.

Sanders is one of the top QBs this year but it’s one of the worst classes of the last decade. There is an incredibly low hit rate on QBs, and in this class, probably even lower. He’s a mediocre athlete with an average arm and has poor pocket presence / awareness.

I honestly don’t think we’d be talking about him as a 1st rounder if he wasn’t Deions kid. I don’t see the traits at all for someone who Is consider an upgrade.

Sure but Sam Darnold was also an All Pro caliber this year.

Sam played great this year…but thats 1 year out of how many? He finally went to a good team with an elite 1-2 punch at WR.

Would love to see our team value weapons for the QB for once.

Deion could get Shilo or one of the other WRs not named Travis Hunter, so Prime would need to let his guys go be great without him.
