Ben Johnson to the Bears per Schefter

Good decision...it's a great team for a guy making his HC debut. The Raiders sounded like they were very interested too but I'd rather coach in the NFC North than AFC West vs. 3 other veteran coaches. I think the Bears will be back for sure...they just need their indoor stadium ASAP to make it easier for their offense.
Radas don't gave a franchise young qb to build around....bears do..

13 mill a year is one of the rumors going around according to PFT

Cowboys wanted DQ back he dipped
Cowboys wanted Joe Whit back he dipped
Cowboys wanted McCarthy back he dipped
Cowboys wanted Bones back he dipped
Ben Johnson ain't even pick up the phone for a interview
Its almost like you are saying coaches dont want to work here under Jerry.......................nah, that cant be, must be something else going on.;)

Oh really. I don't believe they can win with Dak because he can't run. I think their only chance with him is to have a dominant running game and I would seriously consider taking 2 backs in this draft and they have to sign some free agents in March. That means they have to sign Parsons soon.
Sign some free agents in March:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Ben Johnson was never gonna come here…there’s the salary, there’s him wanting some say and alignment with ownership and gm, that’s not the point. The point is I’d rather the cowboys reach out to bring him in and get declined or they meet and determine it’s not a fit- whether that virtually or in person.

They didn’t even try. Haven’t even tried with Glenn. Haven’t tried with Liam coen (not that I’d want him), no back door communication with vrabel. Their minds have been made up imo ; Kellen’s the successor and witten is on the staff. That’s the issue.

My hope of him becoming our HC was always just a dream.
As long as Jerry is around you will get no young HC who he doesn't know or have some personal relationship with. He hires people based on loyalty and how much crap he can get away with. He prefers people who are weak because he simply does not value the HC position.

The Bears HC job is probably the cherry of this years openings. They have a young and up and coming team. A young highly regarded QB prospect. The 10th pick in the draft, CAP space, and a front office committed to winning. I would put this job ahead of the Jaguars job at this point.

I wonder how much say Ben Johnson had in personnel with the Lions. I mean Fangio clearly left his imprint on the Philly defense not just from a schematic perspective, but personnel as well.

Lions season ended late Saturday night. Beats got that done quick. And here’s Booger and Jethro muddling along interviewing candidates no other teams have interest in. I’d cry if I wasn’t so used to the ineptitude. And it’s for this reason I hoped Mike came back as it’s about to get worse.
I would not be surprised if they already had an agreement, but he did not want it announced until after the playoffs. No distractions.

13 million!!! Jerry isn't going to pay the entire coaching staff that much $$
