2 great offensive coordinators are out there, and could be available after Sunday, I would rather have either of them over the rumors of Shottenheimer or Carroll, at this point there is no hurry to sign anyone, it's definetly worth exploring.

Both could be available by Monday to freely interview but I have this wild suspicion they will both be still coaching their respective teams for the next game

The comical narrative and double standard is this. Shotty has never been a HC before. Ok, fine. Then here's the facts and let's apply them to everyone. Glenn, Johnson, coen have never been a HC before. Glenn is the media darling. They anointed him . He's a year OLDER than Shotty. What's the difference between him and Shotty. I'll wait... Go.

Factoids. Parcells, Belichick, Carroll, Coryell, Gibbs, all never been a HC before they got hired to be head coaches. No one knew they would be good or whatever. If we do hire Shotty, the sun will rise tomorrow.

Easy answer. The Joneses don’t know those guys. They have sat in meetings with Brian and feel comfortable with him. They don’t want anyone rocking the boat. I believe the rumor they wanted McCarthy back under a two year contract.

i'd love either one.
but the jones' probably know already....they will want their staffs...not jerry's.

So what has Schott done that illuminates his CV and capabilities for the job?? Glenn gets universal praise for his man management and Johnson was his innovative plays. Shotty...?

Isn't this one of the arguments as to why we're so behind other franchises, we never change and we're always have this insular approach as if we fear new ideas.

Once the Saints get their guy - Jerry can pay pennies to whomever is left and wants to be a HC. What a genius

Kingsbury to me is the obvious choice for Dallas but for whatever reason the Cowboys have just decided they don’t want to be competitive anymore.
It's about money and the contract....Jerry is wanting a cheap incentive based contract for his HC.....No real coach worth salt is gonna come to Dallas.....Jerry Jones has turned this team in the Al Davis Raiders.
