Why not Joe Brady or Kingsbury

I would take Kingsbury over Schottenheimer.
Has HC experience. Shown his offense can move the ball. More innovative than derivatives from the Garrett system.

Lights a fire under the butts of the players to actually learn a better system. No more QB friendly crap (that goes for both Romo and Dak) as we heard that for years.

So what has Schott done that illuminates his CV and capabilities for the job?? Glenn gets universal praise for his man management and Johnson was his innovative plays. Shotty...?

Isn't this one of the arguments as to why we're so behind other franchises, we never change and we're always have this insular approach as if we fear new ideas.
So did Saleh. Until he flamed out

Saleh was the hot commodity until he couldn't find a gig now. He went back to San Francisco as the DC. My how fast things change. What tells us Glenn or Johnson are any better than Shotty? What are their accomplishments? Shotty has been to a SB in some capacity, has be not? He's a year younger than AG. I'm just saying, the guy isn't my first choice, and I'm not sold, BUT couldn't we do worse? You gotta start somewhere.

I agree but the other side of the coin is all im bringing attention to. I'm with ya, I'm just being fair and looking at the entire scope of the situation. Saleh was universally praised too. Some dudes are great at being coord only, some coord aren't very good at being coordinators but are great at being the hc, leading men. Only way to sort that out is give a guy a shot pun intended. Lol

Kingsbury was an awful headcoach and an awful college coach. He is a classic OC only IMO.

The comical narrative and double standard is this. Shotty has never been a HC before. Ok, fine. Then here's the facts and let's apply them to everyone. Glenn, Johnson, coen have never been a HC before. Glenn is the media darling. They anointed him . He's a year OLDER than Shotty. What's the difference between him and Shotty. I'll wait... Go.
Well, one of them has been involved in what was clearly a failed coaching regime in Jerry's eyes seeing as he didn't retain Mike and his staff.

Why would you get rid of an entire staff just to hire one of the guys that had a pretty significant hand in it the last few years? Just doesn't make sense. The entire point of the coaching change was to, well, make a change. Hiring Schotty is hardly a change.

Kingsbury to me is the obvious choice for Dallas but for whatever reason the Cowboys have just decided they don’t want to be competitive anymore.
I dunno, could be. More like Jerry is really losing his mind and the kid will do anything possible to save a buck. He knows all they have to do is not be awful and the money will roll in.

Look at it the other way….if you’re Kingsbury, are you really coming here as your second shot? I wouldn’t

QB in clear decline and an incompetent front office. People see that easily, and is why they are down to someone who no one else would consider.

More than likely, McCarthy, Moore and Sanders all told Jerry no thanks.

Their method of outsmarting the rest of the league has caught up with them finally.

Brady is probably at his hiring ceiling, IMO: Offensive Coordinator for a super bowl contender.

I think it's easy to forget how big of a deal that is.

I think he'll continue to get better at his job, but I don't think HC is a natural fit for him.

The difference is JJ wants Schitty and that's all some need to know.

He or any other coach, without a HC job, would jump on it.....if they don't, we shouldn't want them....if they don't have the sack to take the challenge, hit the bricks

Based on what’s out there, I fully believe that they figured MM would sign up for like a two year extension for cheap…incentive based. The complete lazy way per usual.

The narcissists were stunned when someone wouldn’t want to have what they think is the greatest job in the world, and is a privilege to have and work for them…..and of course have no plan B.

Any many already knew, anyone with options doesn’t want that job. In fact may rather have no HC job instead.

Jerry thinks he is above hiring a coordinator unless they have a direct connection to the team. That's literally what it is.
