And not one thing has gone right.

- a historically bad home playoff embarrassment
- a ridiculous decision to let McCarthy play out his contract
- hiring a dinosaur for D-Coordinator
- an exodus of talent via free agency due to poor cap management
- inability to draft a RB
- signing Zeke
- an expected but costly delay in signing Lamb
- an expected, drawn out, catastrophic contract extension to an immobile, often injured, aging QB
- significant injuries to Williams, Bland, Cooks, Martin, D-Law, Parsons, Kneeland, Prescott, Overshown, Diggs
- Humiliating performances against NO, BAL, DET, PHI
- a public declaration from Stephen Jones to expect the same team building strategy for the 2025 season
- a flawed but unsurprising hiring process resulting in a completely uninspiring choice for head coach

Have I missed anything?

I'm not sure this is just poor decision making. Injuries aside, this seems to be a methodical, thought out plan to prevent this franchise from competing.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm all in on this team right now...

The multi billion dollar question is when Jerry has left this world, what his family will do with the team?

That said, on the bright side, they make a run in the playoffs next year, this thread will be totally forgotten!!

A pretty good read IMO.

My issue is anytime I want to get local Dallas news off the internet, I'm cheap and don't want to pay for it. Is this site any good in your opinion? The article does make complete sense though IMO.

This is why every off season that doesn't start with Jerry stepping down to hire a real GM is a failed season before it ever even starts.

Not happening. They'll be lucky to win 5 games.

Even the 1-15 disaster of 1989 was better than this. At least we had the hope of a competent coach and a bright future ahead with a true franchise QB

This is lowest point for the fanbase that I can remember.
I agree. I’ve been a fan for 50 years and I think this is the lowest I’ve felt in the post Aikman era. 70’s,80’s and 90’s era my lowest points were losing the 49ers in the 94 NFCCG and “the catch” game against the niners.

2000-2025 my lowest points are:
1. Tonight with the hiring of Schotty
2. the Dez no catch game,
3. signing Dak 3 hours before the season started.

52 weeks? I look at the disaster as 29 years and counting…..and if you want to be honest the end started in March 1994. So that’s about 1608 weeks since things have been good. Rinse, lather, repeat and the futility continues unabated….

That signing of Dak has caused as much damage as those California wild fires! I sure hope those ignorant Dak supporters are happy.
