He ia a guy I really havent had a chance to watch. From Ive read about him he is a freakish athlete and very high motor player. However there isnt alot of counting production. Granted that always doesnt tell the story

People that have watched him, what are your thoughts?

I absolutely love him and think he’s a 1st rounder. He’s not going to be for the “he doesn’t have enough sacks crowd” but his traits for his size are off the charts. I’m not sure I’ve seen a dude that big move the way he does.

Think a bigger, longer, stronger version of Kneeland that is way more athletic with more upside. His best football is ahead of him with some refinement in pass rush but he’s likely your best Edge setter the minute he steps on the field.

For a team that has gotten bullied in the playoffs he’d be a good fit.

He projects as an interior pass rusher in the NFL. 3-4 end and kicks inside as a dt. He's an athletic freak and would give us an actual professional interior pass rush alongside Osa. He has some refinement to work on as far as pass rush moves and technique but his ceiling is through the roof

Do you guys see him as a guy that can play on tje edge on run downs and kick inside in pass rush situations?

Good player, to me, kind of a Greg Ellis, or maybe Jim Jeffcoat. You will never get the sacks you want from him, but plays solid, does his job, and does get pressure. Just not a splash player. Has enough size to kick inside on passing downs.

One of the reasons I like him and Mykel so much is we’ve been been bullied against good teams in the past…having dogs like them on the DL would help.
We have adjust our thinking as this scheme calls for up the field players that are quick off the ball, rather then being stout in the point of attack and holding up blockers. Not saying he doesn’t fit, but have been looking at the ladder

Yea if we don’t take a DT early in this class we’re dumber than I thought we were.
Just look at their history, outside of Mazi, when was the last time they drafted a 1st rd DT? Usually they address the area on day 2

J Lewis says we can expect more attacking from the front four.......I'm starting to like the idea of Osa and Nolen or Graham with Mazi rotation. That's what fixing the run issue looks IMO.

That's just it......the fact they did invest a 1st on Mazi show they now understand the importance of elite players at the position.
But Jerry gives his coaches a pretty strong voice on draft day.......so it just be a matter of Shotty and Eberflus selling it.

Oh he’s a great fit while being a dog against the run…check him out.
