yea great cant wait for jerry to talk about it next and say the same exact thing he always say about about piece of the pie then him and stephen drag their feet to the last minute and end up paying more like they do with every other big contract

Pay the man.
Trade the man.

But whatever you do— DO NOT wait to see what the leaves tell you whenever they fall or whatever the frick you all do at the FO Stephen.

Dragging your feet and waiting gains you absolutely nothing— especially when everybody knows you cave and pay in the end anyway.

For once— step up and get it done early before Watt and Garrett set the bar even higher than it already is.

 TWO options.......pay him or trade him
He's wired differently.......the same tactic and BS he used with Dak and Lambs' contract will not end well with Parsons. It will be a fight in public ...

ED Micah Parsons (DAL, 25)

Remaining Contract: 1 year, $24M

Parsons produced 12 sacks, 43 tackles, and 2 forced fumbles in just 13 games for the Cowboys last season and will enter a contract year in 2025 (fully guaranteed $24M 5th-year option salary). He’s been one of the games most productive edge defenders since stepping onto the field back in 2021, and should be of Dallas’ top priority signings this offseason.

The top numbers for edge defenders currently stand at: $34M APY, $122.5M GTD, though it should be noted (since the Cowboys tend to wait until the last minute with these things) that T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett, Max Crosby, and Zach Allen are all contract extension candidates this offseason as well, which should continue to push this market even further.

Prediction: 4 years, $150M ($115M guaranteed)

FYI.......Bosa is the highest paid edge at $34m

Here is what we know........no way in hell Parsons will play the 2025 season under the current deal w/o a fight. The sooner Stephen Jones handles this ( only two options ...sign or trade ) the better.
Could argue (whatever we think of Micah), there is only one real option. As in all negotiations or strategic planning (if you can, indeed, call it planning), Jerry's left himself wide open....if he approaches anyone with a trade proposal it'll be taken as him not wanting (afford) to extend and will be ripped off, as in the way he approached Amari.

I'd definitely do a little bit of fishing on the trade front.
Simply tell teams we are in a rebuild mode and can't afford this kind of luxury right now.
The problem is Jerry's just not capable, or imaginative to pull it off he'll telegraph in his approach (that's what killed him with Dak).....we dont trade, because Jerry cant do win/win.

I'm just saying, you can tell by his personality and behavior, that he is wired differently. Don't drag your feet and play around with a decision or things can get messy real fast. You won't like the outcome.......

Stephen Jones on Micah Parsons’ contract: Obviously, he is an important part of what we’re about

Decisive actions aren't exactly a strong suit of the Jones boys. They will likely drag their feet thinking the 5th year option and 2 franchise tags give them all the leverage they need against a player they will end up paying top dollar for anyway. Smh

That just it .......I could be wrong, but I don't see Parsons letting them drag it out w/o it getting messy, perhaps via media. He knows exactly what he's worth and what he can get from another team. Remember all last season he said was Dak and Lamb's time. He was perfectly fine waiting until this year to get his done.

Also......playing for his 3rd DC in four years doesn't help
