2/1- Who's Your Pick

I do think if Banks is there he's worth the pick as a LT. I expect he's gone at 12
I'm all over Banks if he's there........starting him at RG but am open to moving him.......think Tyler Smith was drafted for LT but now playing LG at All-Pro level.

WE actually have a coach who now can develop talent. I am confident that our young prospects will benefit from this hire, which includes Steele. A name to watch is Fries from the Colts who Adams helped develop and he plays RG.
I think we can expect at least one Stephen to sign at least one, maybe two low-cost free agents from the Cards offense. ( Hernandez and/or Conner ). Could help other players with Adams's system/expectations

If the board falls like this who is your pick at 12? No one is calling for a trade up either

Ten- Travis Hunter
Cle- Cam Ward
NYG- Shedeur Sanders
NE- Abdul Carter
Jax- Mason Graham
Oak- Jaxson Dart
NYJ- Will Campbell
Car- Tyler Warren
NO- Tetairoa McMillan
CHI- Ashton Jeanty
SF- Kelvin Banks Jr

Dal- ?
Johnson

Will Johnson in a heartbeat!!!

Here is another name thrown out ...........he struggled early in his career. I admit I have not followed him ....not sure about now.

That would be a pretty solid PU but Ariz has more cap space that they might just want to keep him. We really liked him coming out of College He didn't do well in NY but that was NY LOL

Mike Green or a trade back or Walter Nolen. If we are not going to blitz then we better have good pass rushers

**Steele signed a NEW extension in 2023. 2024 was the first installment from the extension. The chances of Jerry cutting him before the 2027 season are closer to 0 than 50%.
Cutting Steele pre-June 1st this year, you save $4.65 million, cutting Steele with a post June 1st designation would save you $14 million.

Not saying you are wrong, or that they will cut him, but from a financial standpoint (and given where the team is relative to the cap) it may be closer to 50% than we think.

Is he really worth his $18.25 million cap hit? Maybe they restructure but his future cap hits (and base salaries) already only go up from there.

I understand but what I'm saying is what fans think of Steele vs Jerry are two entirely different things and that is what matters. Like many fans are already moving Guyton to RT coz he struggled some of his rookie seasons. My goodness, what happen to patience or trusting your process or correcting his issues before giving up after ONE year?
As for Steele....we all know the last thing Jerry will do is admit he made a mistake. So even if fans wanna release Steele, I'm saying it's highly unlikely coz Jerry just extended him in 2023.

Broaddus and one other on the draft show are pushung Simmons if he checks out medically, and I cant say I hate the idea. I would be shocked if they admitted the Guyton mistake that quick though. That said give me Grant or Green.
Broaddus was just tossing out a scenario. He and Voch think Simmons is a 10 year starter at left tackle. Guys like Simmons and Will Johnson have to be taken seriously at 12 because of the positions they play. Plus who would really be opposed to moving on from Steele or getting another blue chip player in the secondary.

Mike Green
Luther Burden
Emeka Egbuka
Walter Nolen
Josh Simmons if he checks out
You could go for a DB but would rather have one of the ones above.

I've never seen what the actual knee injury is for Simmons. If it's "just" ACL I think he goes top 15 and is worth the pick. I feel like it can't be with his projections into round 2 or later right now, but maybe that's just off the uncertainty.

Evaluating WR is definitely not my strong suit as a former LB and trench lover but I don't see it with Burden and Egbuka at 12, a trade down mid to late first? I can accept that.

Offense - LT Simmons
Defense - DT Harmon or DE Jalon Walker
