Black Doves. Netflix. Pretty cool.

What’s her name from Pirates of the Caribbean good casting for a cold-hearted assassin.

Wife was watching it next to me while I was doing something else, and show was so intense made me start watching it.

Has a similar vibe to the Apple TV British spy series Slow Horses.

Night Agent season 2

Just did not like it as much as the first season.
Odd thing is I think the story line was better this season but not sure why I kind of struggled to get through it. Maybe the newness wore off.

Probably just me.

If you enjoyed the first season, don't let my takes keep you from watching season 2

This is next on my list. I kind of liked season 1. I'll post my thoughts on S2 when I am done.

I finished American Primeval. I saw someone posted about it a few pages back and said it had a Revenant vibe to it. I never really watched the Revenant so I cannot really compare it. To me is was a little like "Dead for a Dollar", at least in the story line. Overall it was a brutal depiction of the old west. If things were that bad it is a miracle anyone survived! I am sure the truth lies somewhere between American Primeval and Wagon Train. But I am a creature of movies and television so I could be way off.

Anyway, I liked American Primeval. Not great, but good entertainment. It is a limited series which generally means there is no season 2 but the way it ended, I can see a sequel, another limited series. I don't see it happening but I would watch it if they decide to do it.

The only thing I would pick on is it was all a bit predictable. You get the idea how it is going to end with a few episodes left. Its not how I would have ended it but I get why they did it the way they did.

My score is 6.5 out of 10. Like I said, it's pretty good but not great.

I kinda liked the first season, but I'm not sure if I'm interested in watching the second.

Finally dove into Dexter: Original Sin, and I’m really enjoying it. Took a minute to buy into the younger versions of the characters, but once I did, it’s been a great watch. Gotta say, they absolutely nailed young Batista. Now I’m stuck waiting on the last two episodes. Some of the plot is a bit predictable, but it’s still engaging. Should’ve just held out and binged the whole season. Lol.

I haven’t yet finished the current season of Castlevania but it has been pretty boring. Too much backstory and not even action.

I watched the first episode yesterday. I will probably watch the rest of the season unless something else catches my eye. I just wonder if the writers of these shows do any research at all before they write this crap. Do they read, Tom Clancy novels? I might be more of a jerk when it comes to certain details in these stories than most people, but I can't help my semi-autism.

In the first episode we find our hero is on the run and in hiding after a mission goes bad because someone tipped off the bad guys. Got it. But he is in hiding for a month and all the while the CIA and FBI are looking for him and can't find him. We are told he is trained in evading detection. Okay. But then this software engineers who built a system that uses facial recognition to identify people and assess their shopping habits as a marketing tool modifies the system to look for our hero. I bet the CIA never thought about a tool like that, right? Even her venture capitalists turn her down because they don't see how her software is any better than any of the other products out there that do the same thing. And Pro Tip: if you are attempting to acquire investments in your business and your investors ask you why your product is better than the competition, you better have an answer, not just, "oh, ours is 10 times better!". I digress. So she uses her software that scans public data and social media sites looking for our hero's picture to possibly locate him. And of course it works. She manages in a few hours to do what the CIA and FBI could not do in a month despite their access to public and private data. And she finds him from pictures of him posted on social media! LOL. If I was trying to stay underground you can bet the first thing I would do is post my face on Instagram! It is actually worse than it sounds because he is pictured with the son of the guy he is secretly stalking because the guy was involved in the failed mission. He didn't think maybe the kids father might notice him in the picture and wonder why is this agent who was tailing me in Thailand in a picture with my son?

The software engineer is a mildly portly female he met in the first season of Night Agent. She hasn't heard from him in 10 months but all of a sudden she is obsessed with finding him. Of course she figures out how to find his exact location and bumps into him when he is in the middle of a shootout. Which by the way was the result of a absolutely ridiculous plot to kidnap and question a guy associated with the failed mission mentioned previously. Night Agent was going to do this on his own. Without any tools to disable his prey. He was just going to march him at gun point into the torture chamber he set up previously - that is until the prey realizes he won't shoot him because Night Agent needs him alive. Again, LOL.

So episode 1 had a few issues I had to overlook. But despite these things there is constant action and intrigue in the first episode. I tend to judge these shows by the first episode but sometimes the first hour does not represent the rest of the show. I don't know where this one is going but I suspect from episode 1 it could be heading in the wrong direction. And, it is Netflix. I am somewhat curious if my suspicions are true which is why I will probably continue watching. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

It's surprisingly amazing imo. And I watched the very first episode of Dex Season 1 when it premiered. The dude who plays young Dexter is crazy good. I could see him as Cyclops in the Xmen reboot. And did they actually clone Batista and Masuka lol. Been great.

Just also watched the latest episode of Severance. And WT holy F is this show. Reminds me of thinking about every detail like The X Files and LOST back in the day.

IMO, it started off very strong, but in the second half or so, it seemed like they were trying to outdo Alien: Resurrection.
While I like everything after Aliens to varying degrees, they should have used Romulus to retcon everything after it (along with Scott's prequels).

Yeah, he does well. I wasn't sure about him at first, but he grew on me as the season went on. I'll give him credit.....he really did his homework, as you can see in some of the mannerisms and diction of the original Dexter.

I love how it's all trying into the original show now. Stoked for the last episode next week.

Fall of the House of Usher
8/10
Netflix
Really good miniseries if youre into a little quirky stuff
Quite entertaining

Binged watched the Netflix series The Recruit.

So got to watch two seasons. Although the first had 8 episodes, the second only had 6.

Decent show. Not believable of course but most action series are not.

I liked it better than the night agent.

Night Agent is getting really stupid, but there is a lot of action.
