Just look how the Eagles were able to dominate the Chiefs OL without the need of the blitz, very similar to the Giants against the Patriots. Look what a strong OL does for an elite running back, Barkley living up to his draft hype of being the next Barry Sanders. Just look at all the resources within their lines and it will tell you why they are contending every single year.

And yet at least on the Oline they don’t have all #1 picks. Becton is a reclamation project and Malata was just a great scout find. They drafted the OC before Kelce was done as well. Howie has carte Blanche with the team. He can sign and cut whomever he wants at any time. Our Owner falls in love with players.

They have to treat the DL like they have with the OL, consistent high draft resources. Outside of Mazi/Taco late 1st rd picks, can you remember another DL 1st rd pick?

Very sporadic. They love them some DE’s though. They will always choose a DE over DT. Same with Corners.

In a deep DT class this yr, it will be a big tell if we ever will address the position.
I haven’t looked at all what Eberflus likes to do. Need to delve into a little more in the coming month to see what he likes. I have read he likes Zone coverage which is scary with our two man corners…

Very true but if Mason Graham or Kelvin Banks Jr isn't on the board I'm still taking Jeanty.

I agree, just look how Barkley did with a real OL, but many think Jeanty is going to be there, I don't think he falls outside the top 10.

Agree - gotta win up front to win big games.

I’d love to see us try to create a DL like the Eagles or Giants from years ago. A dominant DL alone can give you a great defense.

Stat of the year:

Barkley had more yards BEFORE contact this year than he ever had total yards in any season with the Giants.

The Giants are idiots for letting him walk and keeping Jones until they let im go. stupid move.

I’m cool with or without Jeanty.

I just know with Dak as our QB we have to run the ball.

If we don't overhaul the DT position this offseason, I think I might find myself spending less time on Sundays watching us suck and more time doing things like mowing the lawn and painting rooms in my house.

No ........ its all about the front office ....... we could have the best offensive and defensive lines in history ....... and Jerry would still screw it up by putting a 4rth round pick or an undrafted guy as QB and RB.

One stud DT would along way especially if we keep Odighizuwa. With hopefully more progression from Smith and another starting caliber DT to keep snaps down and bodies you could have a strong interior.

There are tons of DT's in this draft that walk through to door as starting quality players. And not even just round 1

Exactly. Let's go get some big bad fat dudes. We need some country strong beef all along the dline. Let's just keep drafting them and see who sticks. Deone Walker from Kentucky looks nice. But I'm not stopping there. I'm dipping into free agency . Not even the top guys, just go get us a couple rotational big strong guys that can plug the middle. Try hard guys. Mix them in. I don't think we are keeping any of our own like OSA. I think they are gone.
