Hello,

The chat here is about Jeanty's workload and amount of carries...someone like Gibbs came into the league with 400 and even Zeke had around 550...Jeanty is coming in with 750 plus his highschool workload...it's refreshing to see scouts DO NOT CARE about this.

Tyler Warren is also another player I'd turn my card in at 12, this is a missing piece on our offense. Everyone is trying to get more physical and change the culture - the offense if it is 51% run on 1st down will benefit from an in-line blocker like this.

Yeah, teams should care about wear and tear. No position wears down faster than a TB so if you have a guy coming in with significant touches already, you have to weigh that concern.

PS, I think he also has like 90 catches as well so we are talking well over 800 touches. That's a lot.

This is what I wanted to say, and when I asked DJ about this he didn't seem to care... he pushed back on the fact that Zeke didn't have production on his second contract and warranted what he did on his first contract as "enough" to validate a 4th overall pick... I will say that take from him was very interesting...

I am excited to say my comparison for Tyler Warren to Rob Gronkowski was no joke, he took that and ran with it.

Taking a te top 5 is nuts. Just saying
I get that, but what about taking him at 12?

Blocking Improves
Serious Play Action Threat
2 TE sets improve

I say this because from what I've researched from 2018-2021 Schotty is running 51% on 1st down.

Jeanty and carries have to be a concern....his totals are still pretty far off from some other notable backs, but most aren't recent backs. Including his receptions - he had 830 (750 carries and 80 receptions) total attempts

Cedric Benson - 1112 carries
Tony Dorsett - 1074
Ricky Williams - 1011
Herschel Walker - 994
DeAngelo Williams - 969
Ray Rice - 910
LaDainian Tomlinson - 907
Marcus Allen - 893
AJ Dillion - 845
Marshall Faulk - 766
Earl Campbell - 765
Demarco Murray - 759
Nick Chubb - 758
Adrian Peterson - 748

The biggest alarm with these is there aren't many modern day backs that end up successful in the NFL coming into the league with that many carries.

There have been 178 backs coming out of college that had more carries.

I am 100% taking Jeanty if he's on the board. I remedy his heavy collage workload by drafting another RB in the later rounds to split carries.
If Jeanty has to split carries, he isn't worth the 12th pick.

Taking a RB at 12 he better be a bell cow.

Are these carries including high-school? This is why I was so concerned and asked the question...it seems like pro personnel could care less about the mileage as long as they are a difference maker Day 1...but what about a team who is drafting and paying this player likely PREMIUM money as a top 10 pick...

This is why the Jeanty train is starting to derail for me...between 12-15 it has to be BPA and that might be Jahdae Barron..

This is a good take but then we are flat out relying on FA to stop the run... and it leaves us in the same boat.

Gibbs was taken 12th by Detroit and splits carries and was absolutely worth that pick. Worked out great for them.
I'm not sure this team pays a QB 60M and a WR 35M and hands the ball off 25-30 times a game like some wish they would when and if they pick Jeanty.

Let's be real...this offense will throw the ball 30 times a game until JJ is out of the picture. Schottenheimer ran his offense in Seattle 51% on first down. The more I watch this draft and sit down and understand what we need to be contenders the more I am leaning towards rebuilding the DLine and Guard positions rd 1/2

Love the player, hate the fit considering our needs. The te room is full already, although Ferguson was terrible last year. Can Warren come in here and be Brock Bowers day 1? If so, MAYBE. I think it's gonna be a RB or wr, big boy in the trenches at 12. Hopefully not a wr. We need chain movers, nasty elite Dlineman and Oline. Hard working dogs. I will say this, we better find a way to manufacture explosive plays. How much of the problem was McCarthy? We about to see. My take is, whatever it takes, go get Mason Graham. He's a cheat code if we wanna improve quickly. He can wreck entire games. Jeanty is another cheat code but not sure we can use him correctly given our needs.
