Well it looks like the Cowboys have decided to not spend the money on free agents or their own free agents. At least they are not faking it anymore. The Cowboys are a full draft and development team that will only extend their stars.

It's not that they can't do well being cheap in FA. It's that they're just not good football managers.

Parcells pulled in a ton of his ex-players on the cheap to have a surprise Playoff team after 5-11 seasons.

DQ pulled in his ex-players and wishlist to transform the league's worst defense into one of the best.

If Jerry and Stephen don't have a strong GM-minded Coach with them, there's no plan. Just taking hacks at cheap contracts that maybe their analytics guys told them were solid values.

1. Hardy - a crazed fool fresh off of brutally attacking a young woman.

2. McCoy - A declining player who had the quadriceps tendon of an 80 year old.

Cheap players that play like cheap players.

For every Kearse or Hooker signing that plays above their initial contract, they get more guys that just suck.

One thing if Dallas was cheap but found diamond in the roughs, but they sign guys like Ronald Jones early on, and only when they realize that there's still a major need do they sign or trade for over the hill guys in Phillips or L Joseph. Phillips flopped and well Joseph is past his prime.
