Does Deuce Vaughn Even Make 2025?

Yes. And it wasn't an experiment. Please.

It's not Vaughn's fault the Cowboys had bad coaching (especially McCarthy) who had no idea how to use him.

This reminds me of all the threads and posts after the draft last year where people kept saying over and over he wouldn't make the team.

I'm hoping the experiment finally ends. Maybe it was MxCarthy, maybe Deuce just doesn't have the skills to be an NFL back in spite if his height.

Would another team pick him up? Or would we be the only ones to have him on our non-practice squad roster?
I hope he does not make 2025, and if he were to be released there will be no other team in the NFL that will sign him. Great kid, great story, square peg in a round hole.

Cutting him does not really save us any money, because he would have to be replaced by someone else.

If we have good enough backs, he won't be needed. But, as a 3rd RB, he does have some ST value.

Well, as Parcells used to say, by the 3rd year we should know, one way or the other....

We got Williams, Luepke and Vaughn as of now, right?
Maybe some RBs on futures?

Dallas will take another RB in the draft, IMO.
so we got at least 4 backs going into training camp, and probably some UDFAs.

All depends on if Schott and Adams can figure out a role for Deuce. I don't think MM had any creativity as the HC/OC

NFL players become vested after three seasons. And being active for at least three games in each.

He'll be here again so he gets vested. He'll be active a few games and then deactivated. Same as the last two years.

Its a hand out, for whatever reason. He doesnt, nor has ever, deserved to be on this roster. But he'll waste another spot this year.

And yes, hes short and small.

You may be right.

I wanted it to work out. It just hasn’t. He goes down too easily. Sproles was a tough runner. Deuce just isn’t. The other thing I see is he is not quick enough. Perhaps they used him wrong but it’s been disappointing.

He will get his chance in preseason. He probably gets more carries in preseason than he has ever had.
