Does Deuce Vaughn Even Make 2025?

Every time I find myself shocked at how many people still think Deuce is going to be a good NFL player I think back to the people who still argued that Trysten Hill was going to breakout in year 3 and 4. Just give 'em a chance!!! The coaches only see these guys every single day in practice. Maybe even our crummy coaches just know when a guy stinks...

We got Williams, Luepke and Vaughn as of now, right?
Maybe some RBs on futures?

Dallas will take another RB in the draft, IMO.
so we got at least 4 backs going into training camp, and probably some UDFAs.

All depends on if Schott and Adams can figure out a role for Deuce. I don't think MM had any creativity as the HC/OC
They will have at least 5 backs in training camp. They have 4 now if you count Luepke.

NFL players become vested after three seasons. And being active for at least three games in each.

He'll be here again so he gets vested. He'll be active a few games and then deactivated. Same as the last two years.

Its a hand out, for whatever reason. He doesnt, nor has ever, deserved to be on this roster. But he'll waste another spot this year.

And yes, hes short and small.
When a guy named "Blind Faith" doesn't even believe in you, maybe it's time to pack it up and go home...

Deuce and Trance are future All-Pros.

I said it the day he was drafted.

And I do reserve my "blind faithness" nowadays. Tops of the exception list is Jerry and family. You cant fix stupid.

He was inactive for more games this past season than his rookie year. If McCarthy was back Vaughn would definitely be gone. I’ll be surprised if this staff hangs onto him. He’s waste of a roster spot.

I'm hoping the experiment finally ends. Maybe it was MxCarthy, maybe Deuce just doesn't have the skills to be an NFL back in spite if his height.

Would another team pick him up? Or would we be the only ones to have him on our non-practice squad roster?
He was always limited to being a gimmick player in this league.
Even 2nd/3rd round back have difficulty finding their way onto the field because of pass protection issues.
Last year didn’t really scream Say! Let’s play the gimmick back”!
If nothing else he has value as the backup kick returner, now more amplified by Turpin’s contract most likely dictating they find more offensive snaps for him, increasing his chances of injury!

This is a Jerry decision. And he'll be here for that third year.

That's why he will be inactive 72% of the season.

Well, as Parcells used to say, by the 3rd year we should know, one way or the other....
It's got nothing to do with that. This is 100% McCarthy and not giving him a chance. It doesn't matter if it's one year or ten. McCarthy was clueless. Another reason I was screaming for him to be gone after GB.

He was only drafted for the "feel good" story. They got their nice heart warming media attention. Now cut his arse.

Or you could challenge your OC, and I mean Brian Schottenheimer, to find a way to use his talent. He's the most gifted runner on the roster. He was last year and he still is now. Probably the most juiceful thing you can do on offense is to tailor a role for Deuce. He is electric if you can keep him clean at the line of scrimmage.

I'm not going to take cheap shots on his dwarfism. I'll let you guys do that.
