How do you say things like this and expect people to take you serious? Solomon Thomas has been one of the worst run defenders in football his entire career. This is a good move, I like Sanborn better but yes getting 2 linebackers in the same day, most likely Kendricks is gone but there's a reason for that kendricks was very good and I would like him back here but he was brought in because he was zimmer's green dot wearing middle linebacker that can run his defense I guarantee these two guys were picked by eberflus you know the grocery list for some of the new coaches are being filled so they can help transition their scheme easily..
The good news is both these linebackers are strength in the run game they like to tackle and they're downhill which is also going to help the defensive line that Solomon Thomas is also pretty damn good in the run game so there's a scenario going on here they're looking at more about fixing the run D..
you heard of people who talk to hear themselves? How do you say things like this and expect people to take you serious? Solomon Thomas has been one of the worst run defenders in football his entire career.
Its all about the comp picks....Also have to consider that with a trade there is no signing bonus so the Cowboys get to keep their cash longer. Its pretty amazing how cheap the Cowboys are.Cowboys are taking on Kenneth Murray’s $5.99 million salary and $7.4 million cap hit in 2025
They will take a $7.4 million CAP hit for this guy but won't spend $8 to $12 million to go get a good player. Make it make sense.

No one takes him seriously anywayHow do you say things like this and expect people to take you serious? Solomon Thomas has been one of the worst run defenders in football his entire career.
Make no mistake, they identified who they want who would come cheap. Let's not pretend that they wouldn't prefer an All-Pro to a player a team is willing to give away for peanuts. We have to hope that these players do better here or are at least serviceable, that our coaches can get the most out of them or improve on them in the draft to the extent that they are just depth.Looks like a good player. Has pass rush ability too. Covers well enough. Folks like to complain for the sake of complaining. This was a great get by the team. A Eberflus pick I'm sure. Do the fans understand what we are witnessing? It's not so much the Joneses pulling the trigger on these player acquisitions but The head coach, eberflus, with McClay. They identified who they wanted to fit the team scheme, and they are implementing it. I have no fault in that. I like all the moves. Everyone needs to stop listening to the whiners and go watch some actual tape. Even the Bills cb we got has alot of upside. He's just 23. A young pup. Sanborn has started games and had like 95 tackles last year if memory serves. The tape shows a good instinctful football player with a motor. So we may have gotten 2 starters for a bag of oranges essentially. Let's give the team some dang credit for this. Nothing much is lost if it fails. Love the effort by the team right now. Keep it going.
More as in number of moves made? You probably are right. Quality of talent is a different story for sure.Name another team that added more talent today. You can't.
Well, you're one of the like 3 posters who take the time to grind through that mess. How do you say things like this and expect people to take you serious? Solomon Thomas has been one of the worst run defenders in football his entire career.

Some of those guys were studs before heading to Dallas.True.
But we’ve had a few guys in the past who were bust but worked for Jerry.
Marc Colombo, Bigg Davis, Ken Hamlin, Rolando McClain, Aldon Smith, Laurent Robinson to name a few.
The talent is there. Coaching and scheme help
This is truly a horrible take.....Yes Stephen and Jerry know who these guys are....your GM is going to know about other players around the league. Even if they are not watching the film personally they are getting all the reports from scouts and coaches on these guys.Make no mistake!
the new coaching staff somebody wanted this guy and they got it,
now it is up to them to make it work...
You guys really think that Steven and Jerry are sitting up there and know who this guy is?
like literally just popped up in their brain we should go sign this guy.
no somebody suggested it they have a list and they're getting players, that can better fit their new scheme and implement it in camp to the existing players much like Hendrix did last year and Kendricks was a very good player make no mistake like Dante Fowler people called it cheap, but it was not cheap ,in the end it worked out., that Value not being cheap..
Some of y'all would be happier if we paid maximum prices for every move we made and only make 2 moves every offseason because you think that the money is the only thing that guarantees success, and that's not true in free agency all the time... Sometimes it's the value it's what you get out of the players and they have a pretty long list of successful bargain type free agents I've listed it on other places people forget that they brought over pieces like Brandon Aubrey ,Turpin and Butler, from other places they brought over Gilmore and cooks they brought over Dante Fowler Jason Peters. Do you remember Robert Quinn double digit sacks I mean sometimes these are band aids and they seem like they're being cheap but these guys actually played well..
Did you realize that one time hooker and Kearse were also free agents, and they became solid starters.
This (the cap hit) is the problem with Murray. He will start and while he isn't all that good we are a better team with him than without him. But his cap hit in 2025 will likely be higher than Greenlaw's year one cap hit. The problem isn't who we brought in to deepen the roster and fill out the depth chart. The problem is that we haven't moved the needle. We haven't gotten any better than we were at the end of last year. Yes, we have the draft still, but so do 31 other teams so that isn't necessarily something that will help us comparatively get better either. This team has just proven over and over that they have no clue how to build a roster. If they singed one stud player and then added all of these complimentary guys it would be a much different picture going into the draft. We have around $48M in cap space after these moves and that will go up around $10M once we sign Micah. Incompetence rules the day again.Cowboys are taking on Kenneth Murray’s $5.99 million salary and $7.4 million cap hit in 2025

I'm sorry, but I don't think there is any chance Jerry and/or Stephen knew any of these guys that we acquired this week a month ago. Maybe their names, but that's about it. There are 80 starting OL in the AFC. Thats not the point. At his age Jerry can probably barely rattle off all of his grandkids. The point is they've had months now to target the FA class and potential trade targets. Even if Jerry/Stephen are not sitting in on meetings actually breaking down film, which I agree they are most likely not, they are still in the meetings when scouts/coaches are discussing these players. This week is not the first time these guys learned the names Solomon Thomas or Kenneth Murray.I'm sorry, but I don't think there is any chance Jerry and/or Stephen knew any of these guys that we acquired this week a month ago. I misunderstood your point, but I think you misunderstood the original point as well. I think the other posters point though, was that these are not Jerry and Stephen's opinions and that they really have no opinions of their own on them which is different than what happens with the GM of every other team, which I totally agree with. They may be in some of the meetings (I highly doubt all or even most of them), but I don't think they are doing any more than listening and giving the final OK or in Stephen's case a begrudging agreement to forego some of his inheritance.Thats not the point.
