Not if they can sign 3 or 4 vets extra cheap, nope.
They've only went two years without drafting a young stud to be the running back here in Dallas the last 30 years that would be last year and in 2015 and they followed up with getting great running backs they will pick a good running back in this draft in the first 3 rounds most likely the second round but this is a loaded draft with running backs 8D at least but I'd like one of the top four they will but you'll say they won't but we got five weeks to wait and see what they do these are just players to compete and add depth they will be getting a young running back in here the fact that they didn't keep Rico tells me that's what they're gonna do in the draft because if they "like their guys", they would have kept him...

Rico did have a solid enough season they could have easily sold the fans that keeping him was good but they didn't that tells me they're gonna pick one up in the draft these other guys they're gonna be battling it out to see who falls where but they're not gonna be starters they're not doing RBBC this year unless the rookie needs some time to ease in but they will be drafting one for sure...

You know why I know this because the new coaching staff is behind a lot of these new moves they have players they want and they're gonna be in Jerry's ear about getting a running back and all they gotta do is point to how bad the running game was last year for most of the year and they will get their running back in the draft..

This will not shock me one bit.
That's gonna be hard to do because there's eight really good running backs in this draft four of them probably day one starters so I'm thinking four teams are not purposely jumping over the Cowboys it just doesn't measure up with the odds so they're gonna get their guy who that is I don't know it'll be rounds one through 3 but my gut tells me it's Round 2 and no we're not hanging our draft on AJ he's not the only thing in this draft as far as running backs go..

I'm going into this draft with zero expectations the way I do every year.

That is smart I'm just telling you that as far back as I can remember the Dallas Cowboys and especially Jerry Jones has not gone more than one year without addressing the running back situation they typically draft one of the better running backs in the league all the way back to Herschel Walker was here he brought him back and then you have Emmett Smith forever was here and after him was DeMarco Murray then Ezekiel Elliott but in between Barber, julio jones, felix jones, etc etc

so just using that type of information and knowing what they knew last year it just wasn't good enough, just like in 2015, even though McFadden had 1000 yards they still drafted Ezekiel Elliott in 2016.

they are more likely than not and I'm looking at 90% expectation, that they're going to draft one of the top 4 backs in this draft but no worse than that one of the top 8 there's a lot of really good ones...

Don’t see the Dalvin Cook association with Miles Sanders. New Orleans literally ran Dalvin into the ground, while Miles is still relatively fresh.
