Some reports suggest there haven't been any serious negotiations.
** Something we know as fact......they have the money or cap space, so it's def not that. Maybe it's not the money per se but the structure ( years and/or guaranteed $$ ). Just me, they need to decide on this coz I don't see a happy Parsons playing on the 5th year option. In other words, more delays could risk this getting ugly. You sense by Parsons's tone he wants it done ASAP.

What delay???

This is the norm for GM Jehtro.

Opportunity for a Herschel type trade that could turn the franchise around. Micah would get two firsts and a few other picks or young players. This team isn’t winning anything over the next couple of years and a trade like this could set the 2027 or 2028 team up for a run.

Not sure if it would reach Herschel's trade level but there are some serious nuggets out strongly suggesting this could be the best outcome.

I have seen this type of nugget with the Pats more than a few times. I think the thinking is Vrabel has the clout/motivation/ resources to pull it off. He has his franchise QB, Parsons would give him a franchise defensive leader.

You would never find another player like Micah.

I really hope all is stalled to make a surprise trade. Micah is good but I don't think the cowboys should mortgage everything. Trade him for picks and players and move on.

Imo Micah is Just like a Bentley, overrated and you are just paying for the name.
The longer they wait, the less we would receive in a trade.

Idk how anyone can see how much better the defense is with Micah on the field, and still want him traded.

He is our best defensive player by far and is going to go down as one of the best pass rushers in team history.

Do people just not want a good defense? Or do you only want a good defense if it’s made up of guys who don’t annoy you with their horrible, world ending, apocalyptic, evil, heinous, nefarious… uh uhhh tweets and podcasts? He podcasts! Oh, the humanity!

It’s just so bizarre to me. I don’t get it. It’s not like he’s a bad guy or gets in trouble off the field. He just talks a lot.

People made the same argument when Herschel Walker was traded.

Problem is, GM Jethro is not Jimmy Johnson. Even if we traded Micah, GM Jethro would screw it up.

“mortgage everything” would be trading valuable draft assets AND paying the player you acquire $40 million per season. No team is giving up anything of value to the Cowboys to add Micah Parsons to their roster.

Add in Milton and another pick and you have a deal

We wouldn’t get a haul like that for Micah anyway. If we got multiple first rounders for Micah I would consider it. Because I believe this teams best shot at a championship is finding a stellar QB on a rookie contract.

But that isn’t going to happen.

Even if it did, look at what happened when the Raiders traded Mack. They got two first round picks and both of their selections ended up being complete jags. They would have been way better off just paying their elite pass rusher.

Since Micah and his agent are suddenly demanding too much, trade him either to the:

Giants for their picks: #3 (1st round), #34 (2nd round), #99 (3rd round) and #105 (4th round).

or the...

Patriots for their picks: #4 (1st round), #38 (2nd round), #77 (3rd round) and #144 (5th round).

Either way, either team gets a 25 year old Edge rusher in his prime who is arguably the best edge rusher in the NFL who has at least 5 prime years to play before he starts wearing down.

Win/Win for both the Cowboys and whichever team decides to trade for Micah Parsons.
