PFT: Cowboys meeting with Ewers

What’s the problem? Sounds like we have a bunch of Texas guys on the board. I would take him in the 3rd.

My alma mater...but yes, he's a good player. Not highly mobile but good presence and touch.

3rd is a little too rich tho.

Ewers has PSTD from Jack Sawyer.
Will haunt him throughout his career. Will hear footsteps every time he drops back to pass.

Actually I thought he was going to be the next Ohio State QB, but he transferred instead. But that ended up a blessing in disguise for Will Howards run.

I would be ok with either QB taken, at the right spot, do not reach, but they do need to select a QB.
Possibly use some of those later picks to trade into the 4th. Does anyone think either one will be there in the 5th?
Some team will take a flyer on either one before the 5th IMO, and sit for a year or so.

He might be worth a 5th but he probably has a Matt Leinart type of career. He lacks the traits of an NFL franchise QB.

No. Just - no.
Perfect for a role such as Romo or Prescott as to effectiveness...bet me. Attitude is perfect to become a focused Pro...bet me.

He won't come up expecting to control the NFL like it's the NBA. Those spoiled 'rooks' think they are entitled to move right into cheap ownership property pollution and ownership.

A 30 year calendar ownership here...

Texas or Syracuse QB and this fan loves it. Both teams and players of a rich NFL history and at National levels as well!!!

You guys don't understand forged in fire at all...just forged in attitude.

Quinn Ewers, QB
In a quarterback class that has a lot of question marks as a whole, Ewers is one of the most challenging prospects to figure out. On one hand, he's shown flashes of being elite in the short to intermediate game with great accuracy, touch and velocity on his passes. On the other hand, his deep ball is still inconsistent and he at times makes questionable decisions in crucial situations. He completed 50 of his 59 pass attempts with five incompletions and four drops, with his final three deep balls all being ducks. Where Ewers falls in the draft will depend on how teams view his upside, and if the Cowboys are looking to tab Ewers are their young quarterback to bring along behind Dak Prescott, he'll likely need to be selected on Day 2.

Not the year to draft a QB within the first 2 rounds. Id hesitate using a round 3 pick on one also.
