Should there be stipulations in Micah Parsons contract?

We're talking about a generational talent, yet it appears there's concerns with Micah and his dedication to the team. This quote from Jerry stands out a lot “Micah has to be the player that he wants to be paid as" goes a long way. We all know that Micah likes to do Micah and live his life. He does things in the off season, travels, podcasts, and it seems like he just wants to be involved in everything he can during the off season!

With that said, are there going to be stipulations about these things in his contract? How can the Cowboys go to someone like him and say hey, if you don't slow down with this, we won't do this for you?? Is that legal in terms of the CBA?

On April 7th we have voluntary workouts, will he show up if there's no deal by that date? I think we can all agree that there's NOTHING that will suggest that a deal doesn't get done. Micah will be a Cowboy and will be the highest paid.

Are you fine with stipulations being placed on him? Please give your thoughts

Mods I included the story where I got the quote from

I understand a basketball stipulation but seriously as long as his activities are (NFL) legal and do not cause harm to his body let it be. If I was him and Jerry slid that into the deal I would not sign it and take my chances in FA.

Honestly I doubt the deal will have much to do with it....Micah hasn't shown up for voluntary workouts the last couple of years. He likes to do his own thing. I think the bigger question is if Jerry actually has any hesitation on paying him does the lack of Micah being around in the offseason contribute to that? In Jerry's mind is that a sign of poor leadership which he expects out of his premium paid players?

There will only be 2 no trade no FT.

While there hasn't been any deal struck just yet, Jones did say that the negotiations are further along in comparison to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb's contract talks last season. With that in mind, it's not necessarily a sign of the finish line coming up.
I was hopeful for another new Parsons contract thread today.

I almost couldn't sleep last night waiting to read all about it.

I think they tried to get Randy Gregory that way years ago and we see how that turned out

In all honesty does any of this matter it's like a smoke screen to an eventually signed high priced deal!! Micah will make Jerry feel happy in some small way. He'll say Jerry I'll be AROUND for voluntary workouts, around means in Frisco but at a horse riding event lol not with football with his teammates being a leader!!

That story has nothing to do with your title or your post and nothing points to any stipulations other than your speculation

Damn! You really don't even know what to talk about, anymore. As long as Micah doesn't start doing something stupid like becoming a....me, me, me, look at me, clown...constantly asking for thoughts on stupid topics. If he does, throw him in the Corral with ** Manchu for 8 seconds!!

Yeah the most likely scenario is exactly this. There are some very small smoke clouds however with this not being prioritized, the Cowboys were mentioned to be interested in trading for a top draft pick, etc. which could be (although very unlikely) Jerry telling Micah he needs to play by their rules or they will move on.

I think we should trade him.
He is too undersized for how we use him.
That causes him to wear down at the end of games and the end of the season.
We are going to regret his large incoming contract.

So, you think the contract should preclude him from going on vacation?

Dictate how many interviews he gives?

How many words come out of his mouth?

I think we regret a lot of the long term deals we make with these players all because they seemingly do well to get the bag, and when they get the bag, you don't see the same level of desire/production
