Of course they wern't going to draft a QB early. Jerry doesn't do that. Just because he looked good in a game doen't mean much. The Cowboys are going to sink or swim with Dak. (sink). Milton will hold a clip board until Dak gets hurt. He was projected to be an average backup. That's what he will probably be.

None of that stops them from drafting 1 next year which is a better qb draft depending on their record the next starter could still be in college

yeh that was trey lance hope of both.

Dilemma is if dak bangs a shoulder or breaks a pinkie finger and out a couple games or three, we don't have a couple of years to wait on a Milton.

We need that immediate backup to buy time and bus drive wins to keep us in the race.

That's the luxury of having a jimmy Grap, Jacob brisslet, Andy dalton, cooper rush, or Marcus mariota

You lost me......very few back are capable of winning you a more than a few games. It's the reasons they are backups. You can only hide their warts for so long.

Besides, as it stands now, we're likely trailing the Eagles and the Commanders for the division over the next 2 couples even with Dak.
I love the move....they're finally starting to think progressively 2-3 years ahead.
