Marish Liufau suffered a broken left forearm. out weeks

Depends on actual recovery time. They have 2 days to find out.
IR or they could cut a vet player not subject to waivers. Handshake agreement to bring him back.

Liafau makes the 53. They move him to short term IR. Bring back the vet player.

Seig, Turpin, are candidates for this to happen with.

But I did not have him on my 53 anyway. I thought they could have got a late round draft pick for him. But not now obviously.
I could see it with Sieg, not with Turpin. Another candidate for that could be Jonathan Bullard.

Doubt they'll put on IR. Seems like an injury settlement. Didn't see any path for him to make the team.

Hate to see guys get hurt. Isn't a starter but good depth and ST guy.

IR makes sense

This could leave an opening for someone like Isaiah Land, Sam Wiliams, or Justin Barron.
I think it helps Williams the most.
I'd like Land to make the final roster.
He's one of my long shots.

I’m confused.

Are you suggesting that the Cowboys might put their deep snapper and returner on the 4-game IR to start the season?

My vote is IR. Frees up a roster spot and we can still hang onto his rights. No sense cutting him if we can keep him around on the cheap and keep developing him. Now if he is ready to play and we don’t have a spot for him then cut him. But right now we don’t have to make the decision to cut him since he got hurt. I hope he recovers well. I hate talking about an injury in such a cold manner while the guy is in pain.
