QB Trey Lance reached agreement with the Chargers

He's made a lot of money for never having actually done anything except have potential. It's quite impressive really. The best thing for him would be to go to Canada or anywhere that would let him get the playing time he needs to possibly develop. But you can't fault him for taking millions of dollars to be a 3rd qb and hold a clipboard.

I wonder if the low end of the deal is closer to $1 million with lots of incentives. If he got more than $2 million at the minimum, he should be very happy about that.

“up to” is the key. Obviously something will have to transpire for him to earn $6.2 million. He is not going to be paid $6.2 million for being the emergency QB. Can he play in front of Heinicke? Not likely.

This forum has probably figured out the last 20 some years I’m not the biggest Jerry fan. I don’t want to belabor a point but I feel we got to give Jerry his due on this one. I was a big Lance backer and again if we would have paid more than vet minimum I would have had a stroke, and Lance was my guy, but he’s not worth more than vet minimum. You give me the choice of Milton for 3 years locked in at 1 million APY or Lance for that contract, I’m taking Milton all day. Jerry nailed this one.

Good for Lance but better for us because we got a player better than Lance for cheaper and longer. So our team came out better. Lance was my guy but the Cowboys are my team. Seeing what Lance signed for made me more happy about Milton.

Its actually one of the better places he could land. Harbaughbis good at developing QBs so not bad if it his last shot. Also Harbsugh loves smash mouth football. Meaning run first dont ask the QB to do too much. Good luck to him.

He could not on the field for the Cowboys when Dak went down with an injury. How is he going to see the field on a team with Herbert at QB and a QB2 with significant NFL experience?

Watch the film. He got excellent reviews. Why are you in denial? He had an excellent game in his nfl debut. He also had some good plays in the preseason as well.
