Do You Think Dallas Will Trade Current Players in the Draft?

One subject not talked about much is current players and if there is a market in the draft for any of them.

I do not believe Dallas would trade Micah Parsons but could see 2 others that might be tradeable for the right price.

With Jim Harbaugh the coach of the Chargers and two of their needs are TE and DL, then I could see Dallas entertaining the idea. Mazi Smith DT and Peyton Hendershot TE are both Michigan guys who played for Harbaugh.

If say Dallas draft at #12 either Walter Nolan or Mason Graham at DT and say both Warren and Loveland come off the board in the top 15 then we might see at least the talk of a trade. I would entertain sending Smith, Hendershot and Tolbert and #76 to the Chargers for #22 and #86 and #125. Then I trade #22 to CLE for #32, #67and #104 slight over pay but they would be coming up for a QB, probably Sanders.

Just something to think about.

You mean schoonmaker. Hendershot isn’t on the team.

Extremely rare.

Never say never, I guess.

Maybe 4th for Mazi & 6th for Schoonmaker. Getting #22 for that trash is crazy..

It makes sense to me that they would look at trade options of players, but I'm doubtful it actually happens. The strength of this team is that they have some intriguing depth at certain positions. If they are to use their 1st round pick on a WR, Edge, IOL, TE or LB I wouldn't completely rule it out. On one hand it's nice to have extra depth going into camp, but at the same time you only have so many roster spots. If they were to go WR early does it make sense to shop around a guy like Tolbert who is in the final year of his contract? If an edge player is taken do you see if there is any interest in a Sam Williams?

Hendershot is my man. But I think he plays with the Chiefs now.

I also don't think he played for Michigan. You may be thinking of Schoonmaker.

I've thought some about that. For example, if Tyler Warren slipped to our spot in the draft. Would it be worth it to draft Warren and upgrade TE then try to trade either Ferguson or Schoonmaker, whichever brings the best value?

I guess OT could be looked at the same way. If Membou was there for example, taking him and shopping Steele might recoup some value. I'm not sure what other teams think of Steele, but he is a starting RT while finding those is hit and miss after the early rounds.
