Stephen: We feel Dak is going to be a healthy QB for us and give us a chance to win championships

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan on continuing to restructure Dak Prescott's contact: "Obviously we have a lot of confidence that Dak's injury was one of those that was just unfortunate. ... We feel like he's gonna be a healthy, productive quarterback for us that will play at the very top of his game and give us a chance to win championships."
The operative word here is C H A N C E. That could be 1 in 32 or 1 in 1,000,000 ... but technically, there's always a chance. Nowhere in this word-salad does he say Dak will win us a championship. I think it's fairly obvious that the current ownership is content with the status quo results and winning an NFL championship is not at the top of their list, they are fine with just being competive and ocassionally making a playoff appearance. I just hope that any forthcoming re-structure does not add more years to the current deal.

What makes anyone think Dak will be healthy? Dude tore muscle off his bone without being touched. This wasn't a fluke hit in the wrong spot or landed wrong injury...he was simply running.
That’s exactly where I’m at with it. That was a nasty injury and four days before it happened…Jerry said they don’t WANT him to run.

He won’t be running much. The big mistake all along was thinking he could win with his arm and be something he isn’t.

He is (was actually) a bus driver that needed a top supporting cast but the kings of misevaluation figured a big contract (two actually) would make him better.

This contract will finally expose the idiots for what they really are, which is not qualified to build a winning NFL roster, and hopefully lead to the necessary changes…..unless 87 year old Jerry wants to get up there in his yellow jacket and still claim that no one could do better.

I honestly don’t see them in the playoffs for at least the next four years, and that’s probably the earliest any actual rebuild would possibly begin, due to pure delusion, denial, the ultimate in being stubborn….yall know the whole list.

Reality is he looks good with HOF on the OL, good RB, good TE that can move the chains, legit WR and an attacking defense. But he never had the magic arm, and since his 1st extension they just can not afford to keep enough talent on the team to actually compete in the playoffs. He was a really good late round pick, exceeded most expectations but he was always limited with what he can do on the field. Plus he sounds like a nice guy, but he can't win the games that matter and now he's old, breaking down, and expensive with no way out for the cowboys.

You are still young so here is a bit of advice from an ex mod. Becoming a mod isn't about getting people to acknowledge you. Only those already acknowledged by everyone will ever become a mod.
You're too young to realize that I don't want to be a mod we like the guys we already have!!

I don't believe Jerruh or Stephen could build a roster for any QB to win a SB.
So you agree that Stephen is spouting fantasy. Good.

As to your actual point in this comment: Maybe not. One thing for sure is they haven't been able to build one that this QB could win a SB, or even reach a CCG with.

It's not now I don't, I never did I just like saying it.

Finally. Coog switched to decaf.

You blokes can be negative but a healthy Dak will guarantee 2 wins against the Giants! Oh, yea, bloody hell we shall give the Giants and the Jets!

I agree with everything, but Mahomes, he choked twice now in the big game
Yeah 5 Super Bowls what a choker, Dak saves his choking for early in the playoffs why bother playing in the SB. The master of the art of choking, Dak.

so you lied to us coog?
Doesn't Jerry lie, sorry to let you down my friend! If you never want to talk to me again I understand!!

You can ask any mod on here I've never come to them and asked them to be a mod, just keeping this as my calling card! Got to have fun in life
