Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign OL Hakeem Adeniji

Meh it’s a depth move. No need to get all bent out of shape.

The starting five is already here barring a lot of injury, and if THAT happens, doesn’t matter…season is a wrap.

This FO annoys me beyond belief, but whoever the 10th OL is isn’t part of that list.

Nothing to really see here, pure depth signing likely with little to no guaranteed money attached. Former 6th round pick who got some starts due to injury and wasn't very good. Hasn't logged a snap since 2022. He will be a longshot to even make the team.

He wasn’t bad during the Bengals Super Bowl season that year, and actually showed some promise. However, Aaron Donald absolutely dominated him and he hasn’t been the same.

This and the Charles signing are signings that are done for the purpose of evaluating our skill position players during preseason. Theres going to be competition at RB and WR, plus Milton coming in too and maybe a rookie QB. We want to see how these guys look in preseason and we can’t do that with guys that will be selling cars in November up front blocking.

If they show something and are better than Waletzko, Nathan Thomas and Shepley, then great. Otherwise, just move on.
B. Broaddus said the exact same thing last week on the Draft Show.

I wouldnt call Guyton, Smith, Beebe, Bass/Jones/Hoffman, Steele unproven. To be honest this combination of players on OL looked better then when Martin was in the lineup. Add the depth pieces they added, along with some mid to late round picks and further FA signings it can be better then last season.

Every team in the league makes depth signings like this. I would assume Adeniji gets the vet minimum with little to no guaranteed cash so if they cut him in August, it's no strings attached.

No need to get all worked up over a guy likely competing for a practice squad spot.

I need to start listening, but I get confused about which show has Ambar on it and decide to skip them all. I like Eatman's show, not a lot of insight but a nice listen. I listen to Cavanaugh a lot on youtube.

As of now at the very best we have a unproven OL, could go bad very quickly if Guyton, Steele and Hoffman don't play up to expectations.
The OLmen we have are good, people are buying into this narrative that we have a lot of holes that’s just not true. If they are talking about depth then I agree with them, we lack the depth

I would argue the exact opposite. They've done a very nice job of supplementing the roster with lower end starting caliber players who can step in at any time. The issue with the OL is that over half the starters we are hoping on....We hope Guyton can take a step forward. We hope Steele can become at least league average as a pass protector. We hope Brock Hoffman can overcome some of his physical limitations and be a more complete player. We hope Cooper Beebe can get better and be a better 2nd level blocker. The only real sure thing we have right now is a gem of a player at LG.

They will be good
