To throw a backbreaking INT in the biggest moments.with Tony, I also always felt like we had a chance

Fair point. Some stats are flawed. Records against winning teams is not solely a QB stat. A QB could have top 5 defenses and have a better record than a QB whose teams had average to bad defenses and the latter can be a much better QB than the former.
2-5 vs. 2-4 playoff record. Battle of the force chokers. It’s a shame.
We’re really debating Romo vs Dak right now. 4 wild card wins between them.
Dak has the worst playoff record ever for a QB with at least 5 starts and Romo is not far behind.
That’s where this fanbase is right now. Debating between these loser QBs.
Not to mention a clueless ownership who thinks that a 30+ year old QB whose only track record is consistently sucking in playoff games is on the verge of winning "titles" (plural). It’s a shame.

Sometimes I really do wonder if Jerry really believes any of the BS that he feeds to the fans. Deep down inside I don't think that he does. He is just someone who sucks the life out of people for all he can get.Not to mention a clueless ownership who thinks that a 30+ year old QB whose only track record is consistently sucking in playoff games is on the verge of winning "titles" (plural).
Yep. Darth Leatherface. The Boys problems has not been about QB over the last 15 years it has been that they are dysfunctional organization. There has only been one constant for the last 30 years and we all know what that is.
Loser vs loser.
Remember when it was Aikman vs Staubach?
This fanbase has fallen so far.
Don't feel too sorry for him. After retiring from football he started a real estate business that made him the top post-football earner in the history of the NFL.Poor guy was severely underpaid.
Roger Staubach was a success at everything he did.Don't feel too sorry for him. After retiring from football he started a real estate business that made him the top post-football earner in the history of the NFL.
Yes sir, I read his story on and off the field. He is definitely an honorable man who is a also a brilliant businessman. A definite breath of fresh air compared to the childish baby mama making machines whom people celebrate on the Cowboys nowadays.Don't feel too sorry for him. After retiring from football he started a real estate business that made him the top post-football earner in the history of the NFL.
This would matter if both QBs played with the exact same teams. They didn't. Romo actually could come back in games where our team struggled from the start, Dak panics. When things go south with Dak, it gets worse. There's no comeback.I admittedly started reading some of this info expecting to be pessimistic. But I was unexpectedly humbled. They are close in all of the key categories albeit it with Dak having better numbers.
We know neither plays their best ball in the playoffs. But for those who question Daks mental capacity to play the QB position vs. Romo these numbers show that is flat out not the truth.
Tony Romo had a .550 winning percentage against teams with a winning record (.500 or better) in his NFL career. This means he won 55% of his games against teams that were also above .500 at the time.
Dak Prescott has a win percentage of 62.3% against teams that finished the season above .500. This means he's won 28 out of 45 games against teams with a winning record.
Tony Romo's average touchdowns per year over his 13-year NFL career was approximately 18.5. During his time with the Dallas Cowboys, Romo threw for a total of 248 touchdowns in 13 seasons, resulting in an average of 19.1 touchdowns per year.
Dak Prescott averages approximately 25 touchdowns per season since 2016. This translates to an average of 7.5 touchdowns per game.
Tony Romo's 3rd-down conversion rate on throws, since 2001, was 45.1%. This places him among the top quarterbacks in the league, with a rate comparable to others like Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers.
Dak Prescott has a career 63.4% completion rate on 3rd down attempts, with 1,978 passing yards and 11 touchdowns in 76-46-0 passing attempts. He has also thrown for 11 touchdowns on 3rd down plays. His 3rd down completion percentage is 66.8%, and his yards per attempt on 3rd down is 7.6.
Amen brother!I find it amazing what people can do with stats to paint an entirely different picture than what we actually saw on the field.
So? Do you make the same today as you did in the 70s? Another Hater derailing a thread. Lol!!Roger Staubach, Hall of Famer, four -time NFL season passing leader, Super Bowl MVP....earned an average of $160,000 a year.
You've fallen harder than any of us. So hard, you can't even enjoy the game and openly root against us, to say, I told you so. Happy Easter.Loser vs loser.

Coming back is one thing. Coming back and winning is quite another. This would matter if both QBs played with the exact same teams. They didn't. Romo actually could come back in games where our team struggled from the start, Dak panics. When things go south with Dak, it gets worse. There's no comeback.
I find it amazing what people can do with stats to paint an entirely different picture than what we actually saw on the field. Good job. You've proven why statistics are one of the three greatest lies.
This is correct. The problem is that, many around here blame all the losses on one person. Some stats are flawed. Records against winning teams is not solely a QB stat. A QB could have top 5 defenses and have a better record than a QB whose teams had average to bad defenses and the latter can be a much better QB than the former.
