Here is the list of prospects with a grade of 6.10 or higher. The grading scale is included. The teams I believe need to draft a RB are the Raiders, Bears, Steelers, Jags, Broncos, and us. This list is taken from NFL.com and does not include the NextGen scores. Who would you be happy with? Can we grab a quality RB in the 3rd round?

Well it's already been over a year. If you count Deuce, which I don't, the last drafted running was Pollard in 2019.

Jeanty is the only dude that is considered "special", everybody else on the list is on a tier below.

If you want Jeanty, he has to be the pick at 12, he wont be there in the 2nd round. As far as the others, you can probably wait till the 3rd and grab at least one of those dudes.

I'm guessing much later than they should have. I would predict 6th round and they check off that "need".

I'm very much in favor of drafting two serious RBs. What I mean is neither one is a "specialist" used for certain types of plays or just some big blocking back.

I want two RBs that are capable of competing for the starting position. In my opinion, this is where the Cowboys have the weakest position on their roster and it has been that way for years.

The highest ranking the Cowboys have received in rushing yards over the previous 4 seasons is 14th and that is a disgrace. A strong running has always been a part of the Cowboys identity from the very beginning.

NFL football has changed over the years but it hasn't changed over the weeks. I saw what I saw in January.

I strongly believe that the Cowboys will do a little trading and won't be shut out in the 4th round. Therefore it would be relevant for me to say that I want 2 RB's drafted in the first 4 rounds.

This has been done before. In 2008 the Cowboys drafted Felix Jones in the 1st round and Tashard Choice in the 4th.

And throw in a few monsters for the O-line in the 6th and 7th rounds.

We won't do that again, hopefully. In hindsight, taking Felix in round 1 that year ended up being a really Tasharded choice.

Are we seriously looking to run the ball?

If we are, then we should be looking at O-Line/ RB as soon as possible 1st/2nd RD, to get EXACTLY WHOM WE WANT, rather than looking at the running game as....'well it doesnt matter on whom, so long as he's rated' the running game.
The best addition for Dak and the passing game isnt a WR2 (though I love the idea of Red Zone Tet....a less so on the speed of Golden (as so many say his speed was at Combine conditions and doesnt necessarily play up on tape), its a running game that wont allow teams teams to sit back in coverage.

I can hear myself saying about trading back again (that mythical Chiefs scenario) would be ideal in getting the RB of our choice, rather than miss out when we miss the 'RUN' ala Schoon at TE in 2023, or RB last draft.

Take the RB in round 1.

RG in round 2.

BPA on defense in round 3.

I think they should start looking in round 2. But I would not wait until round 5. But we may see some good RBs available even in the 5th. If they keep their 10 picks I see nothing wrong with taking 2 RBs.

Really just depends on if they are looking for a bell cow back or are fine with a pretty even split among two guys in the backfield. If they are really confident in Williams bouncing back its a real possibility they wait until the middle rounds and look at an RJ Harvey who is probably a legitimate 2nd round talent but lacks the size to get 45+ snaps per game.
