I would agree with trading down. But I don't consider trading down to be aggressive. I would call it the opposite. Those extra picks you speak of would be helpful!!! It would make things really interesting and it would be good to show that we're aggressive
Looking forward to what? Coogi's post or the draft?I've been looking forward to this for ages now.
The draft.Looking forward to what? Coogi's post or the draft?
One good and one bad.Just look at the last two first round picks we've had
I'm hoping for defense, but I agree with your take it's a multi year thing. There are no quick fixes for this team as there are so many needs.Completely relaxed about the draft. That's because I see this as 2-3 year project. (I'm ignoring the last 30 years) There really isn't a position I would hate for them to take in Round 1. Just get me a RB Day 1 or 2. If not, double dip on Day 3. The hay is already in the barn. Will and the scouting team have already done the work. If they have done it well, we will be okay. And maybe we get something or someone to enjoy watching come September.
All of it babyLooking forward to what? Coogi's post or the draft?
Most teams will be looking to trade down, due to the talent level in this draft, and the fact that players 10 thru 50 won't be that differentWhy do you start off making me not like you then you end your points making me love someone else than my buddy!!!
Those extra picks you speak of would be helpful!!! It would make things really interesting and it would be good to show that we're aggressive, but in hopes they get quality pieces
Coog Bayless and his attention whoring knows no boundaries! You have too many questions.
We have been saying that for months.
An additional third might be worth it. Most immediate impact players are found on the first two days of the draft. A sobering thought. Of the seven NFC teams that made the playoffs last season only Tampa Bay makes a third selection in this draft before Philadelphia does. Most teams will be looking to trade down, due to the talent level in this draft, and the fact that players 10 thru 50 won't be that different
It will be hard to find a trade partner that wants to jump up, and if we do, we'll likely be selling the pick a LOT cheaper than a typical #12 selection. Dropping down to 25 might get us a 3rd, whereas in years past easily a 2nd.
Will be lots of competition to trade back.
The second best RB won't be available in the 2nd round, if that's what you're suggesting. We’re not going to get the number one running back, or wide receiver.
And if they don’t take the best defensive tackle at 12
Trade down. Take a wide receiver. Take the second best running back.
That’s my two cents
Must have forgotten who the Cowboys GM is.Let's be great cowboys, let's build this roster up with thought and precision!! Please give your thoughts
Thursday can't get here quick enough!!
I wasn't aware they had a GMMust have forgotten who the Cowboys GM is.
Agreed. Gondor has no GM. Gondor needs no GM.I wasn't aware they had a GM
Gonna get ya'll some razzle dazzle with some good ole Jerry marketing magic. Have ya all excited at camp. Get ya talkin about the big things they about to do. Right before the opponents run roughshot over the interior .... again. Then he'll be talkin' about how can't believe we didn't get further will all the talent he provide. So it appears as though they intend to make perimeter positions a priority.
