So it appears as though they intend to make perimeter positions a priority.
Not saying they aren’t needs, as there are many. But why not build inside first as is the general rule? Or do they consider those to be fine?
We already know the middle of the defense isn’t going to change and they will remain very beatable/exploitable there, but there’s no guarantee that the OL is going to progress. I think they have a good chance to, but don’t you generally want to know that for sure before taking a RB with a premium pick, or corners that you’re going to ask to cover all day with minimal pressure on non obvious pass downs?
The problem is this is at least a two year rebuild if things go well, and they dont see it that way. That’s how you turn into a 3-4 win team, but that’s probably what’s necessary. I’ve got a strong feeling they are about to have a third bad draft in a row.
Meh, don’t mind me. Suppose I’m just a little jaded after screaming for years to fix the trenches, they don’t….and that’s what get them beat vs better teams repeatedly …then the HC actually comes out and says that’s not gonna be the plan yet again.
