Draft week is here!!!!!!!

I've been looking forward to this for ages now. Let's hope we'll make the most of it for a change.

Those extra picks you speak of would be helpful!!! It would make things really interesting and it would be good to show that we're aggressive
I would agree with trading down. But I don't consider trading down to be aggressive. I would call it the opposite.

Completely relaxed about the draft. That's because I see this as 2-3 year project. (I'm ignoring the last 30 years) There really isn't a position I would hate for them to take in Round 1. Just get me a RB Day 1 or 2. If not, double dip on Day 3. The hay is already in the barn. Will and the scouting team have already done the work. If they have done it well, we will be okay. And maybe we get something or someone to enjoy watching come September.

I'm hoping for defense, but I agree with your take it's a multi year thing. There are no quick fixes for this team as there are so many needs.

Yay the only thing to kind of care about all offseason until the regular season starts lol

First off we always draft good.
What’s with this head scratcher comment from the original poster ‍♂️ smh.
We trade down with either Pittsburgh, the Rams maybe the hated eagirls, or some other team, we trade back between 18-25

So it appears as though they intend to make perimeter positions a priority.

Not saying they aren’t needs, as there are many. But why not build inside first as is the general rule? Or do they consider those to be fine?

We already know the middle of the defense isn’t going to change and they will remain very beatable/exploitable there, but there’s no guarantee that the OL is going to progress. I think they have a good chance to, but don’t you generally want to know that for sure before taking a RB with a premium pick, or corners that you’re going to ask to cover all day with minimal pressure on non obvious pass downs?

The problem is this is at least a two year rebuild if things go well, and they dont see it that way. That’s how you turn into a 3-4 win team, but that’s probably what’s necessary. I’ve got a strong feeling they are about to have a third bad draft in a row.

Meh, don’t mind me. Suppose I’m just a little jaded after screaming for years to fix the trenches, they don’t….and that’s what get them beat vs better teams repeatedly …then the HC actually comes out and says that’s not gonna be the plan yet again.

Why do you start off making me not like you then you end your points making me love someone else than my buddy!!!

Those extra picks you speak of would be helpful!!! It would make things really interesting and it would be good to show that we're aggressive, but in hopes they get quality pieces
Most teams will be looking to trade down, due to the talent level in this draft, and the fact that players 10 thru 50 won't be that different

It will be hard to find a trade partner that wants to jump up, and if we do, we'll likely be selling the pick a LOT cheaper than a typical #12 selection. Dropping down to 25 might get us a 3rd, whereas in years past easily a 2nd.

Will be lots of competition to trade back.
