Pass2Run Semi-Final Mock, No Trades

It's funny how all these simulators have such different rankings of players on their big boards. The thing that makes the real draft so hard to predict is that every team has its own big board which differs from every other team's big boards. How do you predict a 7 round draft with so many variables?

I also like Grant but not at 12. I would prefer him over Alfred Collins by a mile though. I know Harmon is higher rated but there is something about him that scares me off a bit. I think Grant is going to go in the first round and maybe higher than all the projections. I would love for him to fall to 44. Maybe we should start a rumor!

Thoughts on Rylie Mills and Cam Horsley?

Horsley could be a hos for a late rounder.

With 10 picks, my aim is 3 DTs and 2 RBs.

I almost went with Elijah Simmons there in 7 because he could develop into a player. Just not enough statistical production, so I went with Cam.

I think Rylie Mills is gonna be good. This is the year to get our DTs.

My advice to the Cowboys is do not miss out. These DT drafts don't come along often.
I'm all about a mix n match 1 and 3 tech combo pkg bro.
The usual suspects at 1: Williams, Grant, Phillips, CJ West and Stackhouse at my top 5.
Graham, Nolen, Harmon, Turner and Robinson as my top 5 3Ts.
But as you mentioned the talent is there this year to uncover a gem deep as well.
Mills has some stuff I like and you picked the proper rd as he might be that overachiever high motor Ratliff type guy who far exceeds his draft round. Horsley I haven't watched enough tbh.

I'm a huge Dexter Lawrence fan of the Giants cuz I never seen a girth guy like him both plug the run and pressure the pass as a hybrid 1T/3T the way he does.
My dream would be like a Collins from TX to be able to do something like this. I didn't list him because I think he may be the Cowboy choice. Long periods of disappearing in games(motor questions) have me concerned. My fingers will be crossed.

My sleeper guy to your Mills is Walker out of Kentucky.
And yes, nothing could be more true than to take advantage of this year's DT pool. Could set the team up for years.

Grant in a trade down...........YES
Grant at 12........not so sure.....maybe. PS I prefer TWilliams

The idea of at least 2DT's and 2RB's ...............AWESOME

#2 WR and #3 CB are needs, but most teams use developed guys for those positions, not top 15 draft capital: unless they are trying to replace a #1.

I like the draft better than most.

This mock isn't as flashy, but my goal was to make the team competitive this year. I've come to the conclusion recently that WR isn't the problem. We have Lamb after all.
Just looking at the positions you addressed through round 5 (in order): DT, RB, Edge, LB, WR, I would say that's a very possible scenario. Not only does it make a lot of sense, but also seems very typical of the way Dallas approaches the draft.

So many mocks have Dallas taking a WR in round 1. I'm not buying it.

Well I hope this logic is theirs.
And not twisted, lol.

I drafted Chim Dike. But later in the draft.

As it is, we almost have too many WRs. I still like Brooks, Cropper, Flournoy, and even Mingo could develop.

I think WR may be a bluff when I look at the roster unless it's TMac.

This is exactly right

Personally, I like ESPN's the best. Just makes more sense from an arm chair scouting perspective.

I'm not saying its perfect. Just looks better to me.

I always get a kick out of how off they all are, as well as how off the most adamant around here can end up being.

I'm just trying to be flexible for the reasons you're stating.

I’m not saying either will be bad players.

But the meltdown in this board would be epic if they take 2 Michigan DL players in the first 3 picks.

Yeah, but scout the player not the school.

100%, though.

I see Kenneth Grant very similarly to Tyler Smith when he was drafted. Lots got sour over it until he stepped on the field as a rookie and balled out.
