My bet is he will only sign if the Cowboys don't get any of the corner(s) they are targeting in the draft.

Any player signed after Saturday no longer counts against the comp pick formula; if I am not mistaken.

Does seem to be hanging around at the right time. I think even if we draft a corner, it makes sense to add Gilmore because we don't know how the pick or Elam is going to turn out and with Diggs out, we need two on the field.

Agreed. I think he could be a stop gap for the return of Diggs. He can also be an invaluable resource to Elam, Carson, any rookie they draft, and any other CB on the roster.

If the price is reasonable, I'm not opposed to possibly signing Gilmore.

I hate it every time we get a Stephen Jones quote on here, but I'm not against this move at all if it happens. Stephen Gilmore is absolutely not the Gilmore we knew a couple years ago, but in a zone heavy scheme that likes to put 7 back in coverage like Eberflus likes to run he can probably be a serviceable player at a discounted rate. No secret how thin we are at the CB position right now.
