ESPN Dallas Cowboys reporter Todd Archer, "With the help of the simulator, calls to sources and some limited scouting of my own, here is my take on a seven-round mock draft for the Cowboys:"

Round 1 (No. 12 overall): Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
McMillan might not be there when the Cowboys make their first pick, but they need to get quarterback Dak Prescott help. McMillan might not have the speed the Cowboys crave opposite WR1 CeeDee Lamb, but at 6-foot-4, McMillan can make plays on the ball with his giant catch radius. If he's gone, then Texas' Matthew Golden would've been the pick here, although Alabama guard Tyler Booker (Mel Kiper Jr.'s top-ranked guard) also crossed my mind.
Round 2 (No. 44): TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
I'm not as sold as most people on the Cowboys taking a running back here. I could see them going cornerback. I could see them going offensive tackle. It's a deep running back class, but Henderson's breakaway speed is something the Cowboys need. He is also an excellent pass protector. With offseason additions Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, the Cowboys could wait a round to take a runner, but without a fourth-round pick, like last year, they might have to select a back sooner.
Round 3 (No. 76): Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M
He's a local prospect (DeSoto High School) and was a predraft visitor to The Star, just like McMillan and Henderson. Some folks might want more bulk, but the Cowboys plan to use a deep rotation on their defensive line, and Turner showed he can play multiple spots. He should be a future NFL starter.
Round 5 (No. 149): Barryn Sorrell, DE, Texas
Round 5 (No. 174): Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State
Round 6 (No. 204): Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas
Round 6 (No. 211): Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa
Round 7 (No. 217): Dylan Fairchild, G, Georgia
Round 7 (No. 239): Shemar James, LB, Florida
Round 7 (No. 247): Seth Henigan, QB, Memphis

there is a high chance none of them will be available at the first 3 picks, this is just too good to be true
Exactly.

I am hearing Tet goes before 10 and Henderson at 31.

Golden and Judkins much more likely

Entire right side of offensive line is weak.Is Hoffman a 17 game starter? Dak may not finish the season

i don't hate that mock at all.
love getting burke and bryant.
0 problem with the first 3.
like the georgia og as well.

Hoffman is fine.

He’s been in the league multiple seasons, the OL improved when he became starter and knows how to play in the league.

He’s not prime Martin, Leary or hell even Kyle Kosier.

But I worry more about Guyton than I do Hoff.

Take Golden at 12 then trade back up forJaxson Dart because Dak and Milton ain’t it.

I would be disappointed in this draft. They need to draft more than 1 DT and more than 1 RB. If I was drafting only 1 DT, it would have to be someone more promising than Shemar Turner.

The first two picks are fine. I might consider Golden over TMac but that based on what kind of receivers they are and not who is better. Then again, I could make some strong arguments that TMac is a better fit for Dak.

I have nothing against any of the 5th and 6th round picks. I would be fine drafting any of them. I would not take the OG in the 7th. The Cowboys have OL on the roster that are probably better than a 7th round pick. And I don't see the point in taking the QB late. If they need a taxi squad QB to fill the pre-season roster, sign an undrafted free agent. Instead of the OL I would stick with defense. Maybe Nazir Stackhouse DT, and Nick Martin LB. Stackhouse is a Georgia Bulldog and may be the solid backup in case Mazi Smith doesn't get any better. Martin is LB depth and maybe a special teams starter.

Ahhh....the neverending Cowboys draft predictions from everyone and their momma. Are any of these ever right??
Archer tagged the Mazi pick. He's one of the better insiders. If he picked Tet then I'd guess he's heard Dallas prefers him over Golden. I watched this draft last night and Golden fell all the way to the Rams at 25. He was the 4th receiver taken.

I like the top four. Burke is a 5th round prospect but Cobee Bryant is better and might go in the 4th.
