JJ excelled with the trade downs because he had been in the college ranks and saw what guys who didn't fit the scouts' rigid physical requirements for a position didn't.

That was a long time ago gramps. League has caught up to that.

There isn’t a DT worth taking now. Dallas needs a starter and most likely a RB. Get a WR in the third if one slides their way.

Texas DT Alfred Collins would definitely be worth taking in Round 2 if the Cowboys were to trade down from #44 down into the late 50s or early 60s while picking up either an extra late 3rd or a 4th and 5th round picks.

I still like Phillips(MD), CJ West(IN) and Stackhouse(GA) over garbage Mazi right now.
I'd take any one of them to start over Mazi.
Walker is my sneaky sleeper out of Kentucky.


Grant was the cream of the crop and should have been the pick but these other guys are all much better players than Smith imo.


Graham, Nolen and Harmon all gone at the 3T.
TXA &M's Turner and Nebraska's Robinson still left and offer up close to if not better talent than the recently overpaid Odiggy.

I wanted Grant for months. Dallas now needs a RB1 over the DT’s that are left. I don’t see one out there to replace Mazi this upcoming season, unfortunately.

That's definitely where the value is in those 2 positions but not sure if any of those DT1s arent picked before the third so that's where I wrestle with juggling DT and RB.
There's plenty of different skillset RBs who could all make an impact and are still available though.
