Did the chiefs select the better player 20 picks later?

booker and jackson were my favorite og's.
membou and simmons my favorite ot's.
who is the best o-lineman of the group...we'll find out but i can live on the difference.

Doesn’t matter. I said the better player prob got drafted 20 picks later. In 3 years we will know for sure.
Yes it does matter... Because the player is coming off an injury which is why he's available to the chief at the bottom of the round. Which may also explain what several other teams passed on him. So don't say it doesn't matter because it does. No way the Chiefs would have risked drafting him at the 12th spot.

And by the way to say the better player got drafted you don't know that at all

What matters isn’t the first 6-8 games of next season. It matters who’s a better player over the course of 6-8 years. That’s all that matters with a first round pick. I put my money on Simmons, hes a beast and man handles people at a premier position. LTs are hard to find. I’m still happy they didn’t reach a rb or wr after hunter and jeanty were gone

semi ironically, one one of the kneejerk draft grade pages earlier, the only A+ I saw was Zabel who I would have been furious if they'd drafted lol. I don't know anything, and attachments are based on familiarity and group think (in my case)

I see what you're saying
But two things... It appears you're saying you would have drafted Simmons at 12 over
Booker. Also whether we like it or not we use the first round pick on left tackle last year. And you're saying you would rather grab another left tackle coming up an injury 12th overall.

Not making sense... And the only reason I'm taking time to respond because I respect your posts from the past but this one confused me a little

Simmons was probably a better OL prospect than everyone in this draft, not just Booker. But in spite of him being at the premium position, every other team passed on him. It's been said that a lot of teams took him off their boards because of the injury. The Chiefs took a similar though cheaper gamble on Trey Smith, who had an issue with blood clots. That gamble has paid off pretty well for them.

I have to point out that the Chiefs 2024 1st round pick was recently arrested for domestic assault charges. Said charges were dropped, and it's unfair of me to make assumptions, but I've seen Tyreek Hill continuously get away with stuff like this over the years because he runs fast.
He reproduces fast too. No wonder he speeds. Got to get in and out fast.

Yeah let’s take an injured guy at 12. Some of y’all would have been really butthurt. Probably some of the same saying we should have took the injured player.

I mean honestly that’s amazing value to get a tackle like him that late. Guy easily coulda been top 5 pick if not for an injury and we draft a guy who can only play guard. He could’ve been our left or right tackle and even coulda played right guard this year if you wanted.
Yes

Last night was the 1st time I even heard about character issues.....I don't believe them. I honestly think this league is fixed now....and the league just manipulates the information to get teams scared off players.
