Not if we can't stop the run. Won't matter.I know we are all worried about WR and RB. And with good reason.
But man we just got ourselves a legit pass rusher. The defense is going to harass QB’s all game long.
Collins was a reach at 43It’s a good pick. Good pass rusher but I think they might have wanted Collins. San Francisco……One of the better pass rushers and is a good character guy.
You guys can walk me off this cliff and I know this isn't bad but I've never really heard of this guy other than a few mentions because he had 16 1/2 sacks but this is a weird bend these first two picks were nothing like the smokescreens that were be sent out about wide receivers running backs cornerbacks or interior defensive lineman although I think they might have picked Collins if the Niners didn't once again block us seems like the Niners and the Eagles do everything they can to take players they think we're going to pick..If he is two inches taller he is a top 15 pick. Production and elite athleticism. And arm length is something like 34", which pretty much nullifies the height concern
Never have enough pass rushersWhen we needed a run stopper at lde with dflaw gone and some run stoppers in the middle.
We had enough pass rushers already. But i understand its a sexy pick.
That's the weird thing though I thought Green was their target it seems like everything we've heard the last three weeks was a lie it was all a smokescreen they went with a guard instead of a tackle they went away from wide receiver running back hell even Johnson the corner from Michigan we thought for sure he was going to be taken they haven't gone near any of those.. This is like the oddest twist so far is that everything that was talked about has pretty much not been trueNever have enough pass rushers
Length is the key not heightIf he is two inches taller he is a top 15 pick. Production and elite athleticism. And arm length is something like 34", which pretty much nullifies the height concern
Yeah, last year we were down to 4th and 5th string for a while. I would like a DT in at least one round.Never have enough pass rushers
Took the best player availableThat's the weird thing though I thought Green was their target it seems like everything we've heard the last three weeks was a lie it was all a smokescreen they went with a guard instead of a tackle they went away from wide receiver running back hell even Johnson the corner from Michigan we thought for sure he was going to be taken they haven't gone near any of those.. Well hopefully he can put a little weight on I mean not too much let's not try to change a guy but this guys got Robert Quinn Randy Gregory Vibes you know Randy Gregory without the weed but Robert Quinn seemed to be a good comp just a straight up natural pass rusher but what else does he have at 248 at 6 foot 2 maybe ten pounds would be nice...10. DONOVAN EZEIRUAKU, Boston College (6-2 ½, 248, no 40, 2-3): Saved his best for last with 16 ½ sacks in 12 games, an average of 1.38 that led FBS. “Exceptionally good with his hands,” said one scout. “Really bendy. He’s a riser. It’s all on the come. He’s going to get bigger, he’s going to get stronger. But you see the frame, you see the technique and hand use. All positives on the character. Just where he is in the run game and he’s not the elite athlete that Pearce is but he just makes you feel a little more comfortable. Highly productive and a great kid. Sometimes that weighs in more than you think. You see that all the time.” Worked out well at the combine; his 4.19 short shuttle led the edges. Arms were 34, hands were 9 ¼. “Highly productive – more overachieving-type production,” said a second scout. “He’s really crafty. Little dude, but you like him because he plays the game the right way. I just don’t know how he’s going to produce up here. He’s got to be coming forward. I’m not sold on him. At least he produces. It’s something to get excited about when he does things whereas some of these other guys don’t do anything but they look the part.” Finished with 215 tackles (47 for loss), 30 sacks, eight forced fumbles and four passes defensed. Three-star recruit from Williamstown, N.J.
We heard the first two times!! lolYou guys can walk me off this cliff and I know this isn't bad but I've never really heard of this guy other than a few mentions because he had 16 1/2 sacks but this is a weird bend these first two picks were nothing like the smokescreens that were be sent out about wide receivers running backs cornerbacks or interior defensive lineman although I think they might have picked Collins if the Niners didn't once again block us seems like the Niners and the Eagles do everything they can to take players they think we're going to pick..
So I had to go look at some videos look at some BIOS this dude reminds me of Robert Quinn i'm getting Robert Quinn vibes now that's not necessarily a bad thing robert Quinn can rush the passer but he had that liability where he always just rushed the passer didn't seem to get motivated in the run game, I mean it it looks like he can be taken out of the game mentally you know like he needed to be motivated to play..
I could be wrong talk me off the leads people I know nothing about this guy I know he had fat sacks those stat lines are nice but if he's not a complete player you just took in the 2nd round I mean would it be turns into Randy Gregory without the weed LOL
He's kind of built like Randy Gregory the way he comes off the line he looks like Randy Gregory maybe Randy Gregory would have been acceptable in a great player had he not been the toker I mean do you guys agree I mean I just see Robert Quinn I could be wrong anybody want to dismiss me go ahead I have no argument because I really don't know the guy other than what I'm reading and watching.. .
