Sheduer didn't slide bc he lacked talent. He slid bc nobody wants a celebrity back-up QB. I see him starting for Cleveland next year if not sooner. Shemar will be lucky to make the roster.
 
Not a fan of this pick, there were better LBs and a few quality DTs on the board and they trade up for a guy no one else was going to draft this high.
 
I don’t know maybe they sent the wrong name in the wrong card. Lol. They immediately treated back up and got the blue guy.

Insane it is. I don’t get it. I don’t get it at all. Prior to the draft he was talked about as being top 10 or top 5 pick. I was hoping he would fall to us at 12 so we could leverage him as ammo to trade down. But then when he kept falling I was thinking please draft him. Getting a top QB in the draft in the 5th round is a no brainer. I don’t get it at all. I was stuck on Sheduer. Still am. I feel like this is the one move of the draft I’m not happy with. We could have gotten 4 first round grades players in one draft. I am baffled how you pass that up and pass it up several times. Unless they think Dak is some magical inhuman entity that’s going to play forever. I don’t understand it.

Plus, Dieon and Jerry are friends which makes passing on Sheduer in round 5 twice even more inexplicable. First round Qb talent staring at you in round 5........ you know the family. They live in Dallas......... we have nothing at back-up QB. It just seemed for a moment like the stars were aligning for us......... then I hear the name called Shemar James. :facepalm:

You do know this was a 5th rd pick, yes? Most 5th rounders in the NFL are projects...... thats why they last until the 5th rd.

Well I guess you should be asking the other 31 teams why they didnt want him in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th rds, and then even in the 5th 5 more teams still said they werent interested.

I agree. What were the Saints thinking? Tennessee also. I can rattle off a bunch of other teams that could upgrade at QB. I can’t believe this kid was once thought as a possible top pick and then slides to the 5th round. It’s weird, very weird. I wonder when Deion said that he’s only going to allow his son to play for a couple teams and if he gets drafted by someone he’ll “pull an Eli Manning” and get him traded; that was the nail in the coffin. Or maybe Sheduer is a jerk and hard to be around. I don’t know, I’m just shocked he dropped to the fifth round and very disappointed we didn’t draft him in the 5th.

Yes. I really hope they do a 30 for 30 on this and the true story comes out. Like you said it’s bizarre. Very very bizarre a round one prospect drops to 5th round without any arrests, drug problems, or significant injuries or off the field scandals. Especially at the QB position we’re lower round QBs are drafted higher so teams can secure their rights. One of the most talented players in the draft at the most important position dropped to round 5!?! Very strange and baffling. I would love to know the inside story of what happened.

Did you see that quote from some exec, or insider of some kind that said Shedur's interview they did with him was the worst he had ever seen. Maybe teams simply didnt think he was a guy they wanted. If he didnt start, daddy Deion would be ut there talking crap.
 
This was probably the most head scratching pick. But I am willing to trust the scouts. I don't think we needed to move up to draft him but I am not a scout lol.
