If you listened to the team’s Day 2 post draft presser, Jerry mentioned something that may have been missed.

In discussing where Revel is at in his rehab (knee), Jerry said that in terms of a timeline he (Revel) is on a faster track than Diggs (I’m paraphrasing).

That tracks with early reports after Diggs went out last season that it was going to be a long recovery that would likely involve him missing training camp and being PUP’d to start the season. They are going to be really reliant on Elam manning a spot.

The Diggs setback early this year might cost him more than TC. It might coat him some actual games.

I also heard Revel will be ready to get on the field before Diggs last night. He should be good to go at TC.

That's exactly what Jerry was insinuating and tracks with the reports last season after Diggs went to IR. I fully expect him to miss at least the first four games of this upcoming season.

I always expected Diggs to start the season on PUP.

After hearing Revel should be ready in July, I felt much better about the pick. However, I will wait to see, as we never know with this team.

They did bring in Elam, good trade too. As a stop gap until a CB is ready. Not saying he will be great. But decent until Revel is ready, if he needs to start a few games.

Yeah, it might be ugly at corner early on. I'd still like to see us re-sign Gilmore because we may be without Diggs, Revel and Butler.
