Nick Harris dropped a couple nuggets

The Mingo fans are hilarious. Why is he going to be so good here when he was beaten out by a spare undrafted FA last year at Carolina?

And then of course he did nothing here. Not even the star on the hat could help him.

You're about to get lectured about his college film and 40 time.....Something about Cooper Rush being the worst QB in the history of football too.

Mingo at pick 114 doesn't appear to be a bad deal. He should contribute and the receivers that were left on the board probably wouldn't be much better.
it was more the other positions that were available that couldve helped more than him that bug me. oh well, hopefully he steps up.

Tet is a stud muffin and I'm glad to see the team had him ranked high.

And yeah... in round 6 and on, you are basically picking from Mingo level players anyway. Looking back at the draft recap, I wouldn't mind taking a shot on the Colorado WR, Lajohntay Westner. But that's about it. Trading a 4th for Mingo hurts though, cause I would have definitely taken Elic Ayomanor over him.

I wouldn't trade for Pickens either. If it was just a question of Pickens' talent vs his focus, I might take that gamble. But if he's going to want a fat, 4 year/$100M type contract to be a headcase, and you have to give up a 2nd... no way. That's just a bad bet.
I heard Ayomamor dropped cause of a health concern, I like him too, but don’t know the specifics

Anybody would say that this draft is outstanding. They just added 13 players in this draft. I think that 12 of them will make the team and the other one will be on the practice squad. They got a good haul.
you are definitely anybody
anybody that is a complete homer.

So if Mingo doesn’t have 80 catches,1000 yards, and 8 touchdowns you guys are going to think the trade is worthless. Once again the board is overvaluing a 4th round pick. Mingo just has to be a solid player that doesn’t bust assignments and make a few plays when Dak throws him the ball. It’s just comical that the Cowboys brought in at least 4 players from the draft that can make some noise next season but some are dwelling on that 4h round fantasy All-Pro that the Cowboys missed on.

The Cowboys will get that 2nd receiver before training camp I believe.

Interesting notes. I wonder if Tet was the pick at 12, then when would they have addressed the OG position and with who? Would they have gone OG in the second round? or would they still be Ezeiruaku?

WR off the board after the 5th is also interesting. I wonder who they had in the 4th and 5th rounds that were worth taking?

4th round WRs:
Chimere Dike
Dont'e Thornton
Arian Smith
Jaylin Lane
Jalen Royals
Eric Ayomanor
Jordan Watkins

5th round WRs:
Ke'Andre Lambert -Smith
Tony Horton

Thornton with his vertical speed may have been worth a look. But I don't think any of these guys are potentially better than Tolbert or Mingo. They may turn out to be, but based on their attributes, I think they are similar or worse prospects that what Dallas already has. Still, not having a 4th round pick hurt the Cowboys.

On the last point, I really hope they do not do it again and trade away yet another 4th round pick for a guy who has struggled in the NFL. The time to address this was in Free Agency.
Yeah this is how I read it - playmaker we wanted was gone and trade back option wasn’t good so went safe with OL. This is how we have ended up with a lot of our 1st round OL picks

Royals and Ayomanor would’ve been available in the 4th with a trade up. I heard injury concerns for Ayomanor though.

It will literally take a divine intervention for Mingo to be a serviceable WR this year.

I have higher hopes of Tolbert taking a step and Flournoy being WR3 but geez…if that’s how we roll we’ll get throttled in the playoffs if we make it.

I liked Royals but didn't think there was a chance he'd fall to us.

and once again we see how much that moronic trade for Mingo probably cost us
The fun thing is that we’ll get to see
Will some WRs picked after 144 produce more than Mingo or not?

Of course, we also have to assume Dallas would have picked the exact one(s) that end up doing better, if any

I heard that Dallas like Lambert-Smith, fwiw

I'm pleased with what they got. I think that they got 3 solid starters with 1st round talent. I think they might have drafted Sanders at 114 and I wouldn't have wanted him. I'd rather have Mingo and I like Milton over Sanders.
