Dallas back to 3 projected comp picks for 2026
We were at 3, down to 1, now they have us back to 3.
2 - 5th round and 1 - 6th round

Losing Lewis, DLaw, Gholston

Philly has 3, a 3rd, 4th, 5th
NYG and Commodes, have zero.
The formula is fuzzy but I believe it's based mostly on contracts. But there are also considerations for how they play. If any of these buys make all-pro for example, it could boost the Cowboys comp picks. I think it is a longshot for all of these guys but it could happen.

I’m so over competing for the Comp Pick award every year… we might land a player, but what has it done in the Playoffs!

Go get the WR we need

Go get the RB we need

Screw the comps
For what it’s worth, comp picks are a strategy for Philly and SF.

Yeah the equation isn’t possible to know. Not even sure it’s public, but It’s definitely how you build a winning roster.

They expect all their mid rounders to not only pan out, but do so right away. Maybe the rest of the league is stupid and missed those guys. Yep, that’s it.

Maybe Lamar goes down for the year early, Rush leads the Ravens to a 12 win season and Dallas gets a low third and the next Nashon Wright is on his way.

They absolutely treated that pick like a throwaway yet fans root their behinds off to get them. I feel bad because I remember when I thought things like that could change the results. Doesn’t matter how good a roster can be built, Jerry will find a way to screw it up with either his meddling or the karma he has coming to him.

wow, the rich get richer. eagles coming off superbowl. great draft and get a 3rd and 4th....
of course they lost some good players, but they are loaded and now have 4 picks in the top 120....and 4th and a 5th.

Time to sign a WR. Get in before the Allen’s and Coops are swooped up.
Look I understand everyone around here feels the need for that and I post it on another thread about the backup wide receivers and it's eye opening to the fact that a lot of these guys that have already been swooped up to put it in your words lasting remission most of them last year and we're just sticking to what we know recently of what happened with these players almost all of them cooper Cupp, Michael Gallup, Deebo Samuels ,Brandon Cooks, keenan Allen, and Amari Cooper if you compare their numbers to Tolbert, you'll find it's shockingly close if not in some ways given Tolbert's rookie contract money added into the mix he is technically better than them last year or at least on the same level you get what I'm saying here the names on the back of the jersey doesn't necessarily make this a better team... Yes I understand maybe these guys have more potential to have a better year than they had last year but most of them have been in decline every year they've been getting worse so maybe that's why the Cowboys haven't pulled the trigger yet..

So just be patient and maybe they're going to find a guy who's going to be cut soon that's better because they get released a lot of these teams that went into draft and they brought over new players now they're going to be wanting to get rid of one say for a 5th rounder like we did with Brandon Cooks where you make a bigger trade and get a little younger better player than some of these other options..

I think what needs to be done here is let these young guys the new guys on this roster go through OTA's mini camps and start training camp with all the reps going to them and let's see what the reports are coming out of them and that dark horse guy would be the organ undrafted free agent he looks pretty good when you watch the videos and we had inside information from our wide receivers coach in junior Adams I believe his name is we can just call him junior maybe this is a diamond in the rough this could be the surprise of the training camp..

Don't need to take reps away from these guys right now so in my opinion there's no hurry and by the way Tober if he can get a little better and if Turpin is used more properly and becomes a bigger part of this offense, I think everyone's too worried do you remember about WR2.

I think when the time comes they will make the move I realize we are waiting till after the comp pics weren't affected but there could be other reasons..

There is nothing we can say to improve this situation.

They don't listen, as long as we are putting gas in their yacht for the summer.

2 5ths and 1 6th.
Holding off on bringing in FAs that can help the team in order to retain these type of picks is ineffective. 5th and 6th rounders are usually bottom roster player, if they even make the team. This strategy isn't working and the FO or Dallas media should pushing this nonsense as a legit strategy.

How do we never get a 3rd or 4th
3rds are really hard to get. You usually have to lose a guy that signed a massive deal. There projecting Milton Williams to be the last 3rd comp pick player for example and he signed 4 years 105 million

How do we never get a 3rd or 4th
Based on contract size.
However we should have got a 3rd this year for Tyron Smith, but since he was a 10 year vet player. Maybe it is 8 years. They can't get more than a 5th.
Not sure when that rule came in.
I think it will be the same for DLaw, depending his contract size.

Yes, incentives come into play as well. So these will get shifted around, but are usually pretty accurate. The ones at the end of the line, may get bumped off, and another player slides in.
Look at the last pick for Detroit, it shows ... net value .... Probably means another team can move into that spot.
