GB: Dallas Cowboys newest running back isn't fair

Blue will be a good change of pace & perimeter back but lacks the strength to consistently run inside. Still need a work horse unless Javonte or Mafah play out of their minds. Both can have better years than expected. I’m still hopeful we add more weapons at RB or WR before the season starts whether via FA/trade.

A juicy clip to get this opening post started...

Nice breakdown and what to expect from the Dallas Cowboys newest Game Breaker...

Jaydon Blue's speed, dual threat and playmaking ability ISN'T FAIR...for our opponents.

I saw these videos a little bit ago. Got me pretty excited for the kid. We had a thread on pet cats and after watching these videos and a couple highlight videos I put him in my pet cat category. Hopefully he comes though not like my last pet cat RB: Davis

I'm excited to see what he does as a Cowboy! With a solid O-line with good run protection, this kid's gonna smoke some defenses.
Can’t coach speed. If the offensive line can get him some holes and he gets to the 2nd level then lookout. That speed can make for big plays. Hopefully he has vision as well as speed.

I would love to see some screen plays from this offense. We haven’t been good at that in years. Get this kid on a screen and let him run.

He's a guy you want to get in space. You're gonna do that by first doing what everyone says he can't do: run between the tackles. He can do that, though .When he's asked to do it, he does it well enough. We have those kinds of inside run blockers on our team to make way for him.

After the Blue pick, Booker made even more sense. And Blue made a lot of sense after the Booker pick.

It'll be easier to run behind this line next year.

Another thread of everybody being negative, is this the world today,
Their beat before they even start
That is precisely why you shouldn't rely on anything anybody here says (including me). Until players are on the field, nobody knows how they'll play, how impactful they'll be, etc. Some guys play well above their pay grade, while others who were hyped up through the draft process and go much earlier are out of the league before their rookie contract ends.

For me, hope springs eternal in all areas of my life. Can you imagine going through your life as a whining pessimist, or complaining about things you can't change? What a miserable existence. Yeah, I'm the guy who thinks there's at least a possibility of winning a SB every year before the season begins. If we don't, it's okay. It doesn't change my life. Hopefully, I was entertained the entire season, because pro sports is entertainment, not life or death exchanges of blocks, receptions, interceptions, pick sixes, etc.

Go Cowboys!

That would be likely how we would use Blue, however we have had speedy running backs that were quite physical and had the ability to run inside - albeit not consistently. Tony Pollard and Rico Dowdle come to mind. It makes sense to have bruisers as well as speedsters though in the running game. If the blocking is below average it doesn't matter what type of running back you have.

Its totally different with the Cowboys though. Since its been close to 30 years of misery now, the pessismists dont have to "prove" their pessimism anymore. Thats like asking someone to prove gravity by letting an apple go from your hand. It will show the same behaviour the next time. I saw the light in 2021 after that KC game, for many others it was the Green Bay game last year. Others stuck to their optimism. Thats totally cool, each to his own. But don't give me this debbie downer crap.

Lets get rid of Dak and Jerry needs to step down (AND Stephen not taking over, or at least hiring a true GM). Then we're talking.

Good sound thinking. The old forum people had more integrity. Maybe it was a different time. They cared about the team and they understood exactly what you were saying. It’s OK to be negative if it approve in fact. But come on these people like you said haven’t even been on the field yet anyways I appreciate the response.doesn’t

But that’s the point. The world spins and something changes in an instant. Just because something is someway doesn’t mean it’s always going to be that way.
Every day is a fresh new beginning, yesterday’s gone
