Apology to Shedeur Sanders

Although doing a prank call to a NFL prospect during the draft process is a pretty crappy thing to pull, the reality is prank calls have been going on for years now with todays technology.

This one seems newsworthy now because it happened to a player dropping like a lead weight during the draft who has the media spotlight. Ironic the NFL hasn't been looking into this in the past years since it's been happening.

Apparently a lot of us felt the same. I'm so sick of the gaslighting crap. Being told how to think or feel. Like a Nanny wagging a finger at the viewers.
It gets ridiculous. Everyone preaching seems to forget why it happened in the first place. Deion misjudged his son's draft potential. He was never a consensus top 5 pick. He and his son did everything in their power to damage his draft value. Now everyone is surprised he fell?

Exactly

Geez, toughen up. If this really hurt Sheshe that bad, then that is one weak kid. Kids do this sorta crapp to each other all the time, and worse.

Were you guys born grown up?

“Some hurts only show on the inside.” -Saul Goodman, lol!

Jeff might be a great football coach but he's apparently not so great at parenting. Wow. How embarrassing.
I will say this, parenting might be the most challenging job or task one can enter into in their lifetime. It ain't for the meek or faint of heart lol. If y'all have kids, you know what I mean. One size doesn't fit all. This was definitely a learning opportunity for Jeff, the mother, and the son. They can be better from this. They must. All parties involved dropped the ball in this in that household. Life sometimes will do that when things are moving quickly. The key is SLOW DOWN and be a parent first. Job is secondary to this.

as arrogant as both he and his father appear to be, I very much doubt it did.
Frankly, I think they both need some serious humbling in their lives

When part of your income is relied upon your "fame" and how you can make the news, I feel sorry for you no matter how much money you make doing it.

Jeffs son won't learn anything from this experience.

The kid made the mistake of prank calling a high profile prospect that was ranked 16th in his position (yeah, with a horrible QB class and being ranked 16th, you may go in the 5th).

However, because the person on the receiving end of the prank call is newsworthy, EVERYONE is going to report it because they make money doing it.

As noted, prank draft calls have been going on for some time, however, because all eyes were on one guy in the news, that prank call is now newsworthy LOL

Honestly, I'm putting too much effort into the category of I don't give a s***

It was pathetic and childish. The guy has been taking a beating for the past 3 weeks….Shedeur or anyone shouldn’t have to be the butt of a prank phone call.

I hope the kid doesn't carry this stigma with him all his life. He made a very stupid decision. We should be praying for him and his parents. Btw, same for Sheddeur. He's human too. This could be a blemish that follows him too, even though he isn't at fault one bit. I'm getting old , kids are all grown now except one teen. I'ma soft touch these days lol. Same with my wife. She's bedridden etc, very ill but a great mom. I can say this much, they are ALL different. It can be a roller coaster and learning experience for

the parents too. Let me tell ya lol. Even the best of parents have crap that happens. Such is life.

When my boy got his first cell phones at age 14 (broke down because of school activities and who was where when they needed to be picked up), the one thing I tried my best to instill into him was NOT to post stupid s*** on social media, and that it could haunt your life forever if you do.

More importantly, don't let other people take your pic or record you on a cell phone doing stupid s*** because then you can't control where it goes.

I also think it's beyond stupid to be calling the son who instigated this prank call a kid. He's 21 years old and is now a man responsible for his own actions who doesn't have a brain cell. Not only did he most likely not use a burner phone, the freaking idiot had someone video himself making the call. I don't see a kid, I see a half washed up wanna be football play most likely living in his fathers name.

Worse yet, the was stupid enough to call a high profile player who was making the news because he wasn't being drafted as quick as people thought he would.

I've got more important things to pray about other than for stupid people.

To each their own.

Whenever there is a joke, someone is the butt.

I personally wouldn't do it, but this was quite simply not a big deal.

Well it was for a few reasons. Some don’t seem to like Shedeur and feel it was deserving. I don’t get the hate but whatever. Everyone needs a villain I guess.

But if the NFL goes out of its way to stop these prank calls by only giving players numbers out to a select few….and the coach has his guard down to where his son can get that same discreet information? It’s incompetence on the parents part. I would’ve fired him but he’s lucky it was just a fine.

And then to make matters worse he actually is on video either making the call or being in the room with someone who made the call. He essentially was so stupid he told on himself.

Why would you fire him? There was no intent on the part of the coach for this to happen. If you were the owner, and this was Andy Reid's son, would you fire Reid?

this is the result of the victim hood culture. coupled with the lack of personal responsibility.

to star with, when someone is 21 calling him a child just shows the stupidity of anyone saying it.

now the son is an idiot no doubt of that and you could somewhat reasonably blame the parents for that; but maybe they did the best they could and he is still an idiot

The father seems to have been careless but maybe not. But even saying if he was, firing him like certain tools here say he should be is a stupid act

\the total tool goofsmell fining the team is beyond dumb

Because of incompetence. If he can’t stop his child from stealing important NFL information I assume he can’t coach either.

I’m not familiar with Andy Reid’s son….i believe he was the one who was a drug user?

Garrett Reid died in 2012, result of an overdose. Doesn't mean Andy can't coach. I think we know this.

How is that the same situation? I didn’t say he should be fired because of his kid being an idiot. I would fire him because he can’t keep important information out of the hands of his kid.
