One thing we have to remember is, when Schoonmaker was picked, Jake Ferguson was coming off a 19 catch rookie season. Nobody knew at the time that Ferguson would emerge as the starter. And to be fair, Schoonmaker did produce last season when Ferg was out with a concussion and then the knee.

I don't know that he will be competing this season for TE2, definitely in the running for TE3 or possible TE4.

I think Schoonmaker is safe at TE2.
