Walker was the only guy at 12 that I think I may Ihave pulled the trigger on that I wouldn't considered a reach. Golden, Hampton? Yeah, just as big a reach as Booker. The fact we came back with the kid from BC in the 2nd kind of evened it out for me. I mean if you go back and say take Walker or Hampton at 12, and then go another direction at 44, does that change things for you?I am totally fine not taking Hampton at 12. I thought that would have been a reach. I think Booker is a reach as well. Was not in love with any of the players available at 12 though. Where this team is though, I think I would have taken Booker over Hampton though. Need to look 2-3 years out for this roster, so a guard is a safer pick. Not crazy at using it at 12 though. Although, I have liked what I have read on Booker.
I am happy with the first three picks. Maybe none work out. Maybe all do. Typically, it is not all or none. I just wasnt't crazy with anyone at 12. So getting a strong character guy helps ease the pain some. Not having a fourth again is killer. Especially with some of the running backs available. I would have really liked the draft if they lets say draft a back with a 4th and then took Blue later. That would have been a very impressive draft.Walker was the only guy at 12 that I think I may Ihave pulled the trigger on that I wouldn't considered a reach. Golden, Hampton? It would not for me.
Worked out for us on the past.So my opinion is that I can trade for a Etienne or a Breece Hall I’d rather do that then spend a first on running back.
There’s just no reason to do it. I would never draft a RB or a TE in the first round.
Nobody cares. No matter the player we took, nobody cares. Said player isnt getting us into the playoffs, said player isnt going to get a certain amount of wins. Said player aint doing jack. How many of you guys would be happier right now if we went Hampton over Booker in round 1?
Someone said the team trying to trade up was planning on taking Booker. Don't know if true but saw that somewhere. If they traded down it would have been a possibility. I have a feeling Booker would have gone in the next 4-5 picks at the latest.
Heard that too that the Texans may actually have wanted him.Someone said the team trying to trade up was planning on taking Booker. Don't know if true but saw that somewhere.
Me! Like the Booker pick. Would’ve loved Golden! How many would have been happier with Golden over Booker ?
Wrong. Hampton will be the best back taken in the draft. He will eat with the ChargersUnless it was Jeanty at 12, it's a pass. Hampton and Mafah are not much different and we got Mafah in round 6 or 7. Something like that. Hampton might be better with his short area burst, but Mafah will flat out seek you out and hurt you. He's also much more complete. He's great in pass pro.
If we would have had a 4th and got a RB in that round when they were flying off the board would have been perfect. We got blue in 5 and should have traded up for a LB not named James or Paul. James diluted the draft for me. But we got Mingo and watched Lance get no PT. And Mafah. So YAY. That's why we couldn't get a pedigree back in the 4th.I am happy with the first three picks.
