TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

"He's just got to grow up, man," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said of Pickens after the Bengals win. "This is an emotional game, man. These divisional games are big. He's got a target on his back because he's George, he understands that. But he's got to grow up. He's got to grow up in a hurry."

The only way this makes even half sense is if they intend to re-sign him.

Even the Jones twins aren't dumb enough to trade a 3 for a one year rental WR.
This would be too funny. We have guys like Bland, Parsons,Tyler Smith waiting on extensions and we instead prioritize the second WR we have no history with and who has a history of attitude problems and crashing out of games.

A third. A third that could very well be high in the round.

For a headcase rental that Tomlin couldn't corral.

This is why Jerry's Cowboys never win anything.
I think you have to factor in they just traded for Metcalf and they aren’t going to sign another receiver to an extension. They also don’t have a qb on their roster which they are going to have to pony up for

Pittsburgh has an eye for talented but troubled WRs. AB, Bryant, Claypool, Pickens etc...
No doubt he's talented, but there was a reason he fell to the 2nd. He's a stage 10 diva.
Last year he was more interested in facemasks, penalties, pouting and fighting.

He got fined for an inappropiate message on his eye black tape last year. Surely, a guy pouting about lack of targets will be a team player here.
Tomlin even said publicly he needs to grow up.

Yet, we trade a 3rd for him, and will give him an extension. Surely, he will right the ship here with Jerry leading the coddling.

Majority of the Steelers subreddit, which is popping off toward 500+ replies is unhappy.

They certainly have some who are glad he’s gone but most are upset because they feel the team just gave up on next season.

Some Zoners will, predictably, hate this move. Of course, it will be the same regulars who have been wailing since the draft that the team isn’t serious about winning because they didn’t address WR2.
